"That's right. It's like a retirement home for him. He doesn't get involved politically except to act as a control for all the restless Dragon's from the war. Most of them have also moved to Lightning Country to do whatever it is Dragons do. He runs the country like a huge criminal underground, except that is his government blue print. Multiple families run different districts and control businesses, law enforcement, and their own military and minor academy. The territories border villages are mostly farming villages since it is on the edge of a nearly endless storm they get a pretty even split between rain and sunlight. Making them a large exporter of fruits and vegetables."

Yeva prattles off a bit of the information to give the feeling of what the territory is about.

"So the big thing is respect. Anyone wearing a suit you should assume is a member of the government, they respect when respect is given, the only other thing they respect is strength. Also remember these are almost all prior Dragon Core or the children of the Dragon Core, so the philosophy is strongly ingrained in them. Conflict promotes growth. It is likely someone may argue with you are challenge you to grow with you. Thus is the culture."

[Cillian McWolfe]

"And should that happen you are saying instead of diffusing the situation I should exert force?"

It was different then home to be sure.

[Zack Asiv]

Yeva would sigh.

"Yes, in a way. They enjoy the process of combat more than finding a winner or loser. It's difficult to explain, I always find it hard to understand a Sudeki, never mind an country ruled by one."

[Cillian McWolfe]

He chuckled a little bit.

"Well, I will try to not disappoint. Though hopefully, it will not come to that."

He'd relax in the seat as they rode.

"Though from what I've heard a lot of territories operate like that. Might makes right. It's also the Vindicta way, is it not?"

[Zack Asiv]

"That is true. Vindicta is more about the victor. The winner takes the spoils, the most powerful rule. In Vindicta talking it out is a sign of weakness. Which is why I think Lightning Country is redundant. They respect power and strength, but just because you win doesn't mean you are right. I understand Vindicta, here it's a strange mixture of respect, control, and honor."

Yeva still didn't know how to explain it right, but the comparison to Vindicta was a good start. It wouldn't be long before they could see the black clouds drift over their vehicle as they hit the border. The storm clouds spin like a tropical storm over the entire territory, but there wasn't obnoxious wind, and the rare flash of light in the sky said it would rain, but it didn't the entire drive to the capitol. It would look like an old school new york during the prohibition. Huge horses in the front of carts and vehicles, yet a plethora of cars and vehicles with Qi engines.

"Lightning Country has some of the more advanced Qi Engine tech, so Mechanic is a common job in this country. While it's still relatively a new technology, they are leading the charge."

Not long after entering the city they would pull up to Lightning Tower, a large empire state building like structure on the outside with what looks like a hovering mini island over the top of it.

"Ready? We have to go in here and ask permission from at least one of the government heads to operate in town to get you looked at."

[Cillian McWolfe]

"I will follow your lead."

[Zack Asiv]

She would park and open the door, waiting for Cillian to catch up before they walked inside. The inside was different from outside as the walls and flooring seemed to be made from Obsidian.

"This tower was brought to the surface and shaped by the Earth Dragon, it was moved here at the end of the war, and they built around it to add on. The original structure is still the skeleton of this thing."

Yeva explain as they entered, seeing flags of the Dragon Core and other flags representing family names that were important to the Lightning Country government. All the people there seemed to be wearing suits and carrying various weapons though aesthetically to Cillian it would probably resemble a formal event. Yeva would lead them to a side desk where suits waited for them to check in.

"Yeva Valdyr checking in to request access to Lightning Country medical facilities for Cillian McWolfe, a Trainee at Cabal Academy. Requesting a Seikatsugan user for Advice and input."

The suits would get to work filing things and jotting down information on paperwork. One would open a PT and send a message out which was responded to quickly.

"Shen Knight, the head of the Knight family is the only one current available to approve your request. He has approved the use of our medical facilities here in the Tower and will be present shortly with a Seikatsugan user to escort to the medical lab."

Yeva would bow looking to the floor as is the tradition around here of showing respect.

[Cillian McWolfe]

Cillian took it in, glancing around and taking note of the flags and crests. Important details and the like. He'd remain silent until spoken to at the time, having nothing to add and no desire to act like an asshole. Following her example he would also bow in respect, trying to keep with the culture and the customs of the place.

[Zack Asiv]

Before long a man enters the main lobby and everyone in the room turns and bows, Yeva also bows as the man approaches. He would walk up to them and give a slight bow of his head.

"I'm Shen Knight, you can call me Shen if you want. Chris Gunn is waiting for us in the medical lab, he has a Seikatsugan that can help the symptoms you sent us."

"Yeva Valdyr, thank you for approving the request."

They would exchange introductions and Yeva would hold a hand out towards Cillian for him to introduce himself, after which they would then follow Shen to a medical room down a long hallway. Inside a young man would be waiting with a bow of respect as they entered.

"Sir, ma'am if I may... This could be related to secret research by our country and I would request this be between Mister McWolfe and myself."

Yeva would look at Shen and Cillian and Shen would be looking at Cillian. Making Yeva throw her hands up shrugging and waiting for Cillian or Shen to speak first.

[Cillian McWolfe]

Cillian would once more bow, waiting for his sign to introduce himself.

"Cillian McWolfe. I thank you for your prompt reply and generosity at lending us your facilities."

He would bow once more to Mr. Gunn when they entered his examination room, glancing over to Yeva and then the others. He nodded, that made sense, in his culture typically doctors met with their patients one on one. Though the idea that this was related to secret research was... unnerving. However, he is already here.

"If you like Miss Valdyr, I can reconvene with you after the check-up so that we do not cause undue tension."

[Zack Asiv]

Yeva would glare at each person as she turned to leave with the family head member that brought them. Chris then motioned for Cillian to follow him. Moving to yet another room he would request Cillian stand in the middle of it. The room was practically empty no windows, but lit by Qi Crystals. It was entirely obsidian.

"Rooms like this were used during the war to treat wounded enemies we captured. Now it's usually just used for extra storage... That we don't currently have. I'm getting ahead of myself, hold out the palm that has been marked please."

Cillian would be able to tell now that Chris's right eye was not blue like his left, it was actually grey. Then in a flash it would turn gold, the whites would turn black, and black markings would appear on his face.

[Cillian McWolfe]

He gave Yeva an apologetic frown, but he was not looking to cause a diplomatic incident.

"Usually?"

He held out his hand though, he wasn't worried about the man's eyes. Many people had unique ways of using their abilities. This was clearly just one of them.

[Zack Asiv]

"We don't have anything to store."

Chris reiterated before investigating the palm a bit.

"As I suspected. The Chairman had a theory about the connection between Qi Beasts and Qi users. We recently sent out a couple of our squads to test these theories and some came back with symbols in their palms, burning sensations, numbness... Sometimes fatigue, and long term effects was outright pain. However, that is from ignoring it. How is your control over your Qi?"

[Cillian McWolfe]

"Fairly decent I would say."

[Zack Asiv]

"Good."

Chris would hold out his right hand and with it open taking his left hand and pressing the edge of his fist against it like he was gripping something coming from his palm.

"Take this stance, channel Qi energy through your hand to the palm and when you feel something, grab it and pull it free."
