Xapham would ask, it was unclear if that would really help their situation at all, but knowing the info and not needing it was better than needing it and not knowing.

Made sense. Cara nodded. No point in seeing if anyone else was going to be targeted if there ties to those to the meetings and not just the diplomat herself.

"You sure you're an instructor? I don't think I've been in any of your classes." Which was still quite possible; she didn't focus on everything, but something about the way he acted seemed off for a teacher. Was he trying to grade her inspection of the locked door, or was it just an afterthought? Either way, it iddn't stop her from handing over the pearl.
