Cain grabs his chest, trying to will himself to relax and calm down.
"...okay... okay. Is that... uh... is that it?"
He asks tentatively.
"I don't want to seem rude, but I thought there might be... uh... more to it?"

He nods, his lips drawing tight as his eyes narrow. That was an aspect he hadn't expected.
"...I will perform as best I can."
Although, that made him wonder.
"Even though they're such terrible moment, that doesn't necessarily mean we're bad, though. We can fight to make things better for people in general, right?"

Good? Evil? He didn't know if he believed in those things. But he knew for him, he had a cause and something to fight for, and something to protect.

"I know we're responsible for riding into war, but how do you decide which ones you're going into? Or who to help?"

"Most of the time it's not about deciding who to help. Most of the wars I feed off of I have no connection to outside of my domain. It's not a personal stake for me. So I feed off of them, and I choose who to hurt or help based on my needs. Do I need to keep my power up? I'll help the underdogs. Is the region unstable and I have no need for the boost? I'll help quell it. All sides in a war are villainous. Or heroic. They are just people fighting for their own goals, some just buy into their own hype."

Eventually. Although now he has something he needs to take care of back at Cabal.

At the very least, Cain feels like he has to bring this up before he leaves.
