The little orange haired girl tilted her head to one side, a soft smile still on her face.
"What problems?" She asked curiously.

WR just stared at her with piercing eyes before nodding their head and returning their gaze to the ground.
"The things you lock away in a box deep, deep, deep inside yourself, that you swear never to tell a single soul in fear that they will endanger your identity or well being."
That was all they would say.

Shiloh paused for a moment, as if contemplating what WR said. It struck a chord close to home. She had kept her secret for so long; only two people knew about her Qi, or where she had come from. Only one person was aware that she had just lost the hope of ever seeing her parents again.
Her smile turned sad for a moment, a brief, fleeting glimpse into how she felt, before it was washed away and her gentleness, her happiness returned.
"I don't really have many problems. I'm one of the lucky ones. My life is pretty smooth. Work can get stressful, but I think that's true no matter where you work or what you do."

WR glanced over at Shiloh again as silence fell to get a glimpse of her reaction. It was the same flickering hopelessness they caught sight of at the hospital, though it was a bit more noticeable now but they weren't sure if it was because they were now aware of it or if their words were finally getting to her.
"Hm," They turned away again, "I don't believe you, but whatever you say." They said in a raspy, sarcastic tone.

Shiloh shrugged. She wasn't very good at social interactions, and the sarcastic tone seemed to escape her entirely. She had a feeling WR didn't particularly like her, but she had that feeling about most people, and she often forced herself to ignore it until it was proven true.
"WR? Thank you. For being nice to Adel. Most people get really hung up on her defensiveness and they never take the time to get to know her."

WR raised a brow at the subject change, but shrugged and went with it. Escaping conversation seemed to be Shiloh's second area of expertise.
"Yeah, I mean, I did say she reminds me of me when I was younger. Cold. Distant. Abrasive to strangers. Sweetest person alive when it comes to loved ones, and... hmm. Angsty, happiest behind a closed door. Sound about right?"

Shiloh couldn't help but giggle. She nodded, going back to fiddling with her camera.
"Yeah, that describes her pretty well. You're pretty good at that."

WR would scoff a laugh, noting the potential nervous habit with Shiloh's camera.
"Yeah, I guess I do have an eye for reading people. I'm usually not wrong." They shrugged.

She nodded, pausing to lift her camera up to her eye. She focused the lens a couple of times without actually saying anything.

WR supposed it was their turn for a subject change.
"So what all are you taking pictures of? This city is massive."

"My day job is at the big local newspaper, and one of the reporters wants to do a thing about the Christmas spirit, and how its still alive 'even after the Ark.'" She made little bunny ear air quotes, and chuckled, giving a shake of her head.
"She asked me if I could get some really good pictures of some of the Christmas displays." Shiloh sighed softly.

WR nodded, although they completely disagreed with the notion that Christmas was still alive. They rolled their eyes internally.
"Let's take some damn good pictures then, yeah?" They smiled warmly.

Shiloh paused a moment and turned to WR. She didn't hesitate... she simply raised her camera and snapped a picture, before her new friend could lose that kind, warm smile. Shiloh giggled, and then waved for WR to follow her.
"I know of this one lights display, near downtown, and there is a nativity set up over on Elm... This city is usually lit up pretty bright..."

WR stopped in their tracks and shook their head in surprise. One of their irrational hatreds was getting their picture taken, so the act made their skin boil a bit, and they felt the snow around them melting as embers started flying off of their body, but... they would take a deep breath and let it go.
Shiloh could have that one.
They cleared their throat, hoping she didn't notice.
"Let's go then."

Shiloh had immediately turned back to her camera and missed WR's reaction entirely. She could be a perceptive little fuck when she wanted to be, but the fact of the matter was... she was also one of the most oblivious individuals, possibly on the planet. She clicked through the images that popped up on her screen, pausing to smile a bit at one of Adelaide. She wasn't entirely certain that her friend even knew she had that picture.
Clicking the images off, she turned back to WR. "Yeah, sure. Let's get going, then! Do you want coffee or anything while we walk?"
