Olympus Has Fallen (Invite)

[John]

If there was already a cave in he knew the integrity was already pretty shitty. He had to find another way.

"Hey, you feel any streams or water sources near by? You awake?"

[Lucifer]

Poseidon wasn't looking good at all. His skin was turning ashen and his movements were growing more sluggish as time went on. He rolled his head to look at John, though his eyes were unfocused and staring past him. "The... river of the heart... cuts down the unworthy. But we... we are more than the worthy...."

[John]

John stares for a few moments kind of annoyed with Poseidon and his cryptic 'I'm a real greek god, I speak in round about old english.', bullshit. However, the river of the heart... Blood? Where was the heart? The center... Does the center of the mountain bleed or have a river? John would roll his eyes before he started to see if he could follow the cave's to the center of the mountain.

He didn't like the condition Poseidon was in, if he couldn't find something soon he'd have to stop and heal him up on his own. He couldn't help thinking about how he would of abandoned him and ran to eat the fire from the world tree and fight above ground. Now he's trying to save someone else instead.

[Lucifer]

With his choice made John would drag the God deep to the heart of the mountain where he would find a cavern void of everything except a single stalactite in the center of the room, a single drop of moisture on the tip, threatening to drop to the ground below.  However with all of John's time in Olympus to his knowledge this chamber has never existed before now.  At least not that he could perceive. 

[John]

John would drag Poseidon under the stalactite and hold him in place, helping to lift Poseidon's head back.

"We're here. Do your thing."

[Lucifer]

As John laid him down he would notice that the black lines had inched closer to the dying God's heart as his eyes began to turn milky white. Posidon's hand reached up weakly gripping John's chest as best he could.

"The... river of the heart... cuts down the unworthy. But we... we are more than the worthy...."

His words were interrupted by a hacking fit but his grip tightened in defiance of his fate.

"Release... my river..."

[John]

John looked around the chamber... The hell was this? What was that crystal like stalactite? Why was Poseidon basically begging him to stab him in the heart? Was this a secret ceremonial thing?

"You know I'm not a murderer... If I stab you in the heart, this is a sacrificial ceremony... I can only think of one reason you would sacrifice your life. As selfish as you were, you were still about The Gods as a whole..."

John would pull his sword from it's sheath...

"As you command, Lord Poseidon, King of the Ocean, Father of Cyclops, King of Stede's, and Shaker of Earth."

John would then stab his blade into Poseidon's heart. Releasing his river.

[Lucifer]

John would piece his heart and as the God of the Ocean gave his last gasping breath the drop of liquid would fall from the stalactite onto Poseidon's forehead. Nothing immediate happened that he could tell from within the heart of the mountain. As dull as his Qi senses were the only thing he could sense was a feeling of wrongness coming from the surface....

[John]

John would frown when nothing happened... However, the feeling of wrongness would hit him and he would look away to the direction he came from. Pulling his blade free he would stare at the blood on the blade. Putting it away without cleaning the blood off John would close Poseidons eyes and place coins on them as he stood up to look at the Stalactite before rushing back out to see what was going on outside.

[Lucifer]

Outside he would find Zeus brought to a knee, the summit littered with the corpses of those flying abominations. The pyramids continued to crumble and the fighting in the streets seemed to be in a deadlock. However a giant shadow fell across the whole spectacle as a towering Tidal wave from the Ocean was cascading directly toward God territory! The waters were absolutely thrumming with Qi energy and now as close as John was there was no mistaking it as Poseidon's own energy.

The wave would crash into God territory putting out the fire of the tree of life, breaking and destroying buildings as it swept up friend and foe alike in it's wake. Dragging everyone below to the abyss as whirlpools began to form as if Charybdis itself had been summoned, sucking in fighters and monsters, only to spit warriors and civilians who honored the God's out, even as it kept the monsters contained within it's abyss.

Though the threat was far from over as more of the monsters descended from the sky, looking to rip and tear the survivors who had been spat out onto rooftops. Harpy was one that met the monsters in the air, along with Perseus atop his Pegasus though they were so outnumbered it was hard to imagine them surviving the fight unscathed... On another rooftop Freya was straining to hold a barrier between a swarm of the creatures and a group of civilians cowering and huddled together while the darkness gnashed and clawed trying to get in... Sill further away atop the pillars surrounding the pyramids a single lone warrior was clashing against a man clad in what seemed to be darkness itself.

[John]

Narrowing his eyes he rushed for the barrier, taking out his inhaler with the Amaterasu's Blood loaded... Taking a deep breath, the pink flames would erupt around him again as he leapt up and slamming the hammer down as white fire ripped through the earth heading towards the monsters attacking it before it exploded under the creatures, molten shrapnel and fire would launch in every direction he would continue towards them. Didn't seem anyone was heading his plan, or they were too pinned down to retreat. He hated it, this was too chaotic, command was needed, but Zeus was being over run. He also didn't think he'd be able to rally everyone with his power alone.

"Freya, where are the others? We need a rally point!"

John's flames turn pink/violet and allows him to create Items with utility style abilities.

Fire Lord Level 3: +12 Energy John's fire becomes white hot. This new heat allows him to levitate.

Rupture!: John can strike the ground channeling Qi into it causing an intense white flame to rip through the ground just under the surface towards his target, to explode throwing shrapnel and fire everywhere doing 125% John's energy in damage.

[Lucifer]

John's distraction was enough to buy Freya the time she needed to reverse the shield and explode it outward killing the rest of the monsters around them for the moment before staggering from the massive energy drain. The civilians she was shielding seemed to be of the Egyptian sect strangely enough.

"Odin and Baldur went with the others to protect the tree. I was trying to help the survivors when I ran into Hermes. He is running communication from the Egyptians to the other factions. Ra has fallen, Set and Anubis are trying to hold the line over their while the other Egyptian's gather survivors into the tunnels beneath the Pyramids."

She was having some trouble catching her breath but she didn't seem injured.

"I don't know what's happening now. With the flood, everything is a mess. I don't know if the others are still on track or not. But you are right, we need to rally, spread out as we are it is only a matter of time before we are completely overrun."

[John]

John nodded, leaving his God Right active he would turn to look once more.

"We need to get the message out, make the world tree a rally point. I'll try to gather our fellows and point them in that direction. Unless you have a better idea?"

[Lucifer]

"I do not. If I can entrust the lives of these people to you I can take to the air and try to spread the word with the aid of my Valkyries. But these people are in my charge, so I shall not thrust that burden upon you if you are unwilling."

[John]

John had a moment of hesitation when he thought about protecting normal civilians. A flash of what just happened with Poseidon crept into his heart. He'd nod however.

"I'll do my best to get them to the World Tree."

He wasn't sure if his power set was good for protecting, but it was far more efficient for Freya to spread the word than for him to do it on foot one by one, or group by group. So the choice was obvious.
