Olympus Has Fallen (Invite)

Freya would touch his chest, whispering words of power that he would never understand as a feeling of warmth and security washed over him.

"I have placed my mark upon you. Should you find yourself in danger me and mine will see it. Travel safe Forgemaster."

And with that she would take to the sky, making her way toward Harpy and Perseus first!

John could see a few options of trying to get to the world tree. They could try and hop across rubble and debris that was floating on the water rooftop to rooftop. He could try and make a boat. Or they could try swimming.

John regains all item uses he has expended this thread from Freya's mark!

John would nod and watch her leave for the moment. He was still in his God Right form and would use his hammer to create a row boat out of the roof they were all on. He'd move to the back of the boat and use his flame thrower Qi to propel the boat.



Flame Thrower: John can fire a vortex of flames from his hands adding half his energy stat to his energy stat.

Hephaestus Hammer: +6 Atk, +3 Spd, +3 Eng
Description: John's hammer is a formed solid hunk of steel. It's three foot handle is only offset by the lump of metal on one end rounded and flattened for maximum blunt force trauma. Can return to his hand by will.
Ability: Four times a thread John can hit an object with this hammer turning it into a temporary item that gives +8 to a single stat. Items created this way lose their bonuses at the end of the thread.

John chose wisely and making quick movement they would be able to make good time and soon would be coming up on the World Tree. He could see heroes standing on many of it's branches along with Balder and Odin, though there were not many other God's present from the Nordic camp here either. Hermes was flittering about speaking to Odin hurriedly and in hushed tones as John and the Civilian's approached.

[John]

John would pull the boat up along the tree and help the civilians climb onto the branches. He'd climb up as well and head to Odin and Baulder, giving a salute.

"Where do you need me?"

[Lucifer]

"Need you? Why here of course. Freyja and the Valkyries are spreading the word to rally to the world tree. Sounds like you got the call, good job."

Hermes would say zipping around, his eyes looking to the horizon.

"Course, not everyone is gonna come. Death Gods are tied up. The dead are beating at the figurative gates. Then you have the question of that."

He'd say pointing to the second Olympus nearby in equal if not worse shape.

"There is no telling what's going to happen with that. But I say don't worry about it, catch a nap, relax. Because we're all probably going to die here today. But that's enough dilly dallying for me. I need to spread the word!"

And with that Hermes was just gone.

[John]

Listening to Hermes speak and go on John had slightly opened his mouth with a breath a few times, raising a finger to say something though it only made it halfway before Hermes was gone leaving John just kind of... There.

"Ah... Well..."

John would shrug and sit to take a better look now at the other Olympus. It was strange... He'd shake his head and look to Odin.

"What's your take All-Father?"

Odin waited patiently for Hermes to finish before turning toward the other mountain and the chain that ripped through both versions of their home. Pointing his spear at it he would turn to look at both John and Balder. "Tell me, what do you see there."

[John]

John would squint and strain his eyes to look at the chain ripping through both mountains... It was a giant chain, and what John used chains for was things he wanted connected for one reason or another... He used chains when the connection was important and needed to be powerful.

"A strong restraint, a binding holding something important together... An imprisonment method. Bound and imprisoned the twin mountains of Olympus."

[Lucifer]

"Yes, but there is more to it. Huginn, Muninn. Show the boy."

John would find two large ravens fluttering down from the tree to land on each of his shoulders, and as their claws dug into him he could feel his senses expanding and widening. He could see the chains and the other mountain. He could see the way the chains themselves were sucking the life out of the very planet itself. He could see the unending well of souls churning between both mountains. And more than that he could see the seam, he could feel the end. Not just of this dying world, but of the other. The feeling was impossible to put into words, but he knew for a fact that he was standing at the edge of two worlds that were colliding, and that both worlds were dying.

Everything was going to end forever.

[John]

John... Didn't know how to describe or even go into what he saw, what he felt. The things he suddenly knew. It was over whelming at first, but after a few moments he would nod and accept what he could come up with. This was well beyond this plane of existence, this was multiple dimensions, multiple timelines, this was ALL timelines. Everything.

John would wave the birds away after that and grit his teeth. He'd contemplate for a moment and suck air through his teeth.

"Tch, Then shouldn't we be cooperating with that mountain as well? This may be beyond my current level, but I will be fighting a new war from now on, and all allies are needed. A God is a God."

[Lucifer]

Odin would nod but would motion to the space between the mountains with his spear.

"And how do you propose to breach the well of lost souls there? Just because it can not be seen by all does not mean it isn't there. A point of impact between two realities. I fear right now trying it would end up with your soul being trapped among them."

[John]

John's old street punk habits would spring up as he lifted himself into a crouched position. He shook his head for now it was impossible to physically pass the stream...

"Physically getting through might not be our only option, if they are like us, they are in disarray. They at least need to be given the same plans, they need to join together and get somewhere defendable. Use the forge of that Hephaestus and let the enemies funnel themselves into them like the Spartans of Thermapylae. If they can hold off long enough for the death Gods to get the river of souls under control we can link up."

John would look directly at the chains.

"As few casualties as possible is the only option I see."

[Lucifer]

"It is a thought, but how do you plan to get a message to them without crossing over?"

He wasn't chiding the idea, but was rather thinking aloud as he tapped his chin in consideration.

[John]

John would place his hammer on the tree branch and create a large ball of fire before launching it at the other mountain to see if Qi could pass through or if it did any damage.

"If we can signal the other side and get close enough we could simply tell them."

Then john got an idea.

"If I can get high enough I'll fuckin write it in the sky I don't care."

Flame Shot!: John creates a large ball of fire suspended in the air near him, they are sustained only if "Bring The Heat" is active, and is able to launch it by hitting it at any one person, it explodes in a 5 ft radius doing 125% his energy in damage.

The ball would travel but he could feel the energy draining away as it neared the well of souls, draining away completely long before it could reach the actual well of souls itself.
