Olympus Has Fallen (Invite)

[John]

John would tsk at the ball of fire. He suspected it'd be devoured, but it was annoying.

"Well... Writing it in the sky it is then... I hate heights."

John would grab his hammer and turn to the duo.

"Uh... If I fall, could you guys make sure I don't splat on the roof of a building or something?"

John was super worried now as he leapt from the tree branch to his boat taking his coat off he'd slam his hammer into it to make a large balloon with straps. He'd then begin the process of filling it with hot air and strapping it to the boat. Airship anyone?

[Lucifer]

Odin would nod, they would ensure that John did not go splat!

"Just be careful to not get too close to the well." He'd caution.

Summers has a balloon!

[John]

Up we go. John would try to stay above the world tree the best he could, but once he figured he was high enough he'd take a deep breath looking over the side to see the other mount olympus. He needed to make a big enough light show to draw attention. Which would be bad at some point cause it'd likely draw monsters. He'd need to expand a lot of energy, and leave enough to defend himself to descend.

John would raise the temperature around him before creating a bunch of large fire balls. Spreading them around to make a connect the dots constellation of his forge. He'd then blast fire around it to make the outline of mount olympus making a big pink fire light show. He'd stop the flamethrower and move the balls of fire into the forge and line them up like the 300 spartans before shaping them like warriors before firing more fireballs at them shaped like the black fire abominations to slam against their shields into defeat. John was sweating from the exertion, before he combined all the fire balls into words.

Funnel your enemies"

He figured that would be all the time he had, but he would maintain it the best he could.

[Lucifer]

John makes his message, but at first there does not seem to be any response from the other mountain. Several minutes would pass before he'd see something erupt from the mountain. One of the pillars of mount Olympus' summit smashing against the stone top of the mountain in what he would recognize as Morse Code.

And now it was time to get back to the tree. He'd start releasing the air slowly from the balloon to go down.

[Lucifer]

The balloon would start to descend as one of the flying creatures dove through it, releasing the air and sending the balloon and basket hurtling toward the Earth, the symbol that Freja had left on him began to glow and grow hot against his flesh. What does he do!?

[John]

John's worst nightmare was coming true, one of these creatures went straight through his balloon and now he was in free fall on top of a boat over who knows what cause he sure as hell wasn't going to look down. He couldn't think, couldn't focus his Qi, couldn't use his God right, he was in complete panic. The only thing he could do was exclaim as he felt his world shift to a falling motion.

"OHHHHHH SHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!"

[Lucifer]

As John continued to freefall he'd feel an impact slam into him as Freyja herself scooped him out of the balloon, cradling him in her arms as her wings flapped keeping them in place surveying the battlefield and both mountains.

"I told you that we would sense when you were in trouble Forgemaster."

The chaos seemed to be dying down for the time being. There were less flying creatures and the waters of the ocean were retreating back to where they came from. Allowing a look at the devastation that was wrought. Bodies littering the streets and rooftops. Most buildings sustaining some form of major damage or other.

[John]

John was sure he hit the ground, he was dead. the feeling of wind rushing and the sound of wings flapping. He somehow got into heaven, he was sure there was a clerical error that was going to be discovered any moment now before this angel would drop him and he would free fall into hell. Eternal torment was to begin immediately, no introduction needed.

Then he opened his eyes and realized he was clinging to Freya for dear life who held him cradled in her arms. Oh thank fuck, he was saved. He was probably pale and was just screaming for his life... Best to play it off best he could. Giving a bit of a dignified cough he would nod.

"Thanks for the rescue."

Though he was calm the atmosphere had become a bit more sullen. Looking around at the devastation wrought, and wondering now how the rest of the world must be...

"Just like day one..."

[Lucifer]

Freyja would smile warmly at him as she began to descend to bring him back to solid ground. Though on his way down he'd notice that the Pyramids looked different than before. They seemed to be covered in vines now, and large flowers were beginning to bloom along the sides.

[John]

John would check himself after they landed before giving Freyja a bow with a fist over his heart.

"Thank you again..."

He'd peer off at the pyramids once more. He'd look at what Gods or civilians were gathered to make sure they were okay and protected for now.

"I'm worried about the Egyptions. Hercules is on the other mountain fulfilling the plan, but there is no way to confirm their success we just have to trust in them for now. However, our side is still in trouble. Just because this spot is safe for now doesn't mean we can relax, I want to lead a search party to the other Pantheon's big and small, Heroes, Monsters... Doesn't matter we check them all. Any volunteers?"

[Lucifer]

"Odysseus has already dispatched to see people safely reach the Pyramids. But I will come and help to secure it if need be." Siegfried would say, leaping down from a branch, his spear on his back dripping with black blood from the monsters.

Medusa would also step forth, rubbing her right arm fighting back against the anxiety from the day. "I'll come too."

Aphrodite was the last to step forth, sauntering to the group with lips twisted upward in a wry smile. "Far be it from me to sit idly by while our darling subjects suffer. I shall bless you all with my company."

[John]

More than he was expecting honestly, that was a pretty stacked crew. The news of Odysseus making a move to get people to the pyramids made it all the more pressing to make sure things were fine over that way.

"Thank you all."

With that it was time to head off towards the pyramids!

As they neared the Pyramid they would find destruction and devastation everywhere. Bodies of their comrades, civilians, and monsters littered every street, every building. And near the Pyramids John could see someone flying before diving to the ground! More so, there seemed to be a crack forming in the sky, similar to the ones the monsters had poured out of before, but somehow different. Smaller.

[John]

John would take in the sights, as the world flashed to that of a bustling city in ruins, to the gods territory, to the direct aftermath of the bombs. His vision went blurry for a moment as bodies over lapped as if experiencing a visual glitch in a video being played. Shaking his head he pushed on seeing the flying person diving he'd look to the crack.

"The pyramid might be under attack, prepare yourselves. Anyone need a weapon?"

He'd look back, less worried about Siegfried, and more worried about Medusa and Aphrodite.
