Olympus Has Fallen (Invite)

[Lucifer]

With the crashing of the castle from the sky came a shuddering of the earth and an opening of the gates of the underworlds.  Countless souls flooding through the river styx, more than Karen could guide at one time.  Countless howling souls of the dead swirled around the hidden crevice of the mountain, spectral hands clawing and gripping at anything they could reach.  Their touch draining the life from everything around them as they desperately tried to reverse their fate.  A phenomenon of draining that would only spread through the entire world as chains erupted from the fallen castle.  One by one nations, territories, and Gods fell either to the draining of the land and life.  Or from the countless battles that erupted across their once peaceful lands.  

Bandits taking advantage of the chaos.  The soldiers of the Conqueror, defectors and traitors from every nation.  And twisted abominations of shadows and fire.  Souls of the damned, and Qi beasts even more twisted than they once were.  It was all the shining halls of Olympus could do to keep it contained.  Until that is worlds collided.  A second mount Olympus flickered into existence as a massive chain ripped through the new mountain before burying itself deep into his own mountain's core.  The shriek of millions of dead souls ripped at the air and echoed through the minds of everyone able to sense or use Qi for miles around.

Fire and death rained from the sky as winged horrors descended upon the survivors of both of the Mountains and their region.  A cataclysm to rock not just one world, but two.  The surge that came dwarfed even the previous ends that he had lived through, and of all of the dead screaming and howling in pain and confusion it was the scream of terror from his own daughter that shook him to his core.  Rushing from the depths of the Underworld, Cerberus on his heels as all three heads began to bark and growl, warning all shades to clear the path as Hades came upon the scene of Karen being mobbed by a collected mass of spirits turned into an orb of flailing limbs that were trying to rip her apart at the soul.

Cerberus was the first to launch itself at the mass of limbs.  Several arms were torn asunder as the faithful hound plunged into the River Styx, it's toothy maws gnashing at anything it could grab to try and drag the spirit down with him, even as his body started to wither away.  Hades would leap from the shore to the boat as Karen was slowly ripped asunder, ectoplasm leaking from both halves as his hands shot forth to grab her and try to push her back together.  

"No you don't!  Not again.... I.... won't.... let.... you.... DIE!"  His scream echoing through the halls of the dead, shades watching in delight and horror from every shadow while the depths continued to do what they did best and consume. 

[John]

Haphaestus was in his forge sitting in his throne contemplating his next steps when the world shook, and even he, while inside of Olympus could hear the chilling call of the souls of the underworld. He had no domain issues in his own hall, but as the closest to Tartarus he grabbed up his hammer and made his way down to the river styx. The scene he witnessed from then on was quite gruesome indeed. Covering himself in the pink flames of his God Right for protection he would rush to the shore, raise his hammer and slam it into the black sands of the beach and shape and form it into the first thing he could think of was a hook and rope, made of hardened sandstone like a chain. Lifting it up he would hurl it to the ferrymen's boat to hook it and drag it to and onto shore away from the mass of souls.

[Lucifer]

John's hook makes purchase on the boat and he is able to start pulling it toward the shore as Cerberus, not little more than skin and bones continues to wrestle and rip at the mass of spectral and ghostly limbs while Hades strains against the limbs trying to rip his daughter asunder. Slowly making progress at pushing the two split halves closer together. Charon in the meanwhile could do nothing but shriek as both her Father and the Revenant fought over her soul.

[John]

John would drag the boat onto the shore to the best of his ability and stomp causing the shore of the river styx to rumble and crack spewing lava and flames in certain parts as a portion of the area turns into Hephaestus Forge and enhances Charon, Hades, and John's godly power. John would then hurl his hammer at the Revenant! If it goes through the revenant he will summin his hammer back to him to hit the thing a second time.



Eruption Boots: +10 Eng +6 Spd +6 Def Once a thread John can stomp on the ground with the might of a God, doing so causes the land to shake and change violently as part of Hephestos' forge is summoned, the ground becomes hot with pockets of steam and magma shooting from the ground in a 20ft radius. All fire damage and effects are doubled, any allied 'God' characters in the forge are granted enhanced weapons and armor, +5 Atk and Def. (Forge lasts for 4 posts)

[Lucifer]

Due to John's godly weapon being Qi infused the hammer lands into the revenant, lodging itself within the horror's 'body'. Though when he tried to summon the hammer back to him he'd find resistance. Like something was eating at the connection between the two of them. Though on the positive side with the power bolstering both Hades and Charon she was almost put back together again. And as he cries began to die down she would close her own eyes, pushing herself to focus as white smoke began to wisp from her body.

[John]

When his hammer didn't return he got pissed and covered his arms in his usual red and orange flame. Before blasting it in a vortex of a flame thrower at the Revenant!

"Give me back my hammer you amalgamation of dead fuck!"



Flame Thrower: John can fire a vortex of flames from his hands adding half his energy stat to his energy stat..

[Lucifer]

The flame would crackle and burst the spectral flesh around the hammer allowing the bond to strengthen once more as the hammer flew back at John covered in black wisps of death set on a collision course of doom with the God. However, his flame burned hot enough to burn off the corruption and allow the hammer to fly back into his hand instead, as intended.

This is enough to allow Hades to fuse the soul of his daughter back to a stable form, prompting Charon to reach upward, he hands reaching deep into the wriggling mass of limbs and darkness. The thing would shudder as white lines and cracks formed over it's body before it dissolved into ectoplasm in her arms, something that she would proceed to consume, eating the remains to regain strength. The now skeletal corpse of Cerberus drifting down the river several meters further before washing up on shore, a severed limb in each mouth.

"What is going on?"

Hades voice was curt and urgent, his hands still clasping his daughter as he looked to John for news of the surface. More howls of the dead echoing through the chambers of the underground in all directions. More of these abominations were forming from the restless dead.

[John]

John would shake his head and take a deep breath to refill the oxygen in his own internal forge before sending away the summoned forge.

"I was in my forge when I heard issues coming from here."

John would make sure they were good for the moment before rushing up to the surface to see what he could find.

[Lucifer]

Hades shook his head. "It's everywhere. The dead are flooding the gates that overshadows even the previous calamities we have endured. What happens in the underworld is a reflection of the surface. Return to the surface and give them your aid. We will get our own domain in order."

Charon would nod, a somber smile touching her lips as she tried to project confidence. They were Gods of death, it was their duty to keep the underworld in order. Yet despite her best attempt, she could not stop a finger from absently traveling to where she had been ripped asunder just moments ago. Swallowing hard as she steeled her nerves.

"We believe in you Forgemaster." Karen said as her smile turned more wry. For all of his faults, she was glad that he had found his way back home to where he belonged.

[John]

As he rushed out of Tartarus he would throw up a victory sign with his index and middle finger thrown up without looking back. He had to check on the surface and see what he could do. He wanted to climb the stairs to the summit.

[Lucifer]

John would find the trip short being a God, ascending to the summit was a small feat for him. However what he saw would be the world he knew colliding with what almost seemed to be it's shadow. A second mount Olympus stood next to theirs, a massive chain piercing both the new mountain and the one he called his home. The city below the mountain was burning and the pyramids were missing large chunks from them, blasted off in the battle. Even the world tree was ablaze and John could see Gods, heroes, monsters, and men fighting against each other as well as fighting dark beings that were unlike anything he had ever seen before.

Upon the summit stood Zeus hurling lightning bolts at winged creatures flying and diving at the civilians that were trying to flee to safety. Every footstep that John made upon the summit was slick as Dion's wine and blood covered the ground, Poseidon sat slumped against his throne, a hand clenching at his side as blood and darkness seeped out of his wound.

Where does John focus his attention?

[John]

John stopped momentarily in shock with wide eyes when he recognized the blood and wine soaked ground and who it belonged to... He saw Zeus was up and fighting, but Poseidon was injured, the move was obvious. He'd stomp summoning the forge once more to the top of Mount Olympus to bolster Zeus and whoever else he might not be able to see at this moment before rushing over to grab Poseidon and pull an arm over his shoulder, before blasting some fire to cauterize Poseidon's wound.

At least he wouldn't bleed out so fast. The only thing he could think of was to get Poseidon to a source of water. He'd look around before shouting a command.

"We need to set up a joint front! Retreat to the inner walls of Mount Olympus!"

He hoped his shout could get to the ears of both mountains... He wasn't sure how to take that, but for now a God was a God. He'd start moving Poseidon to get inside the mountain, hoping his command was heard so he wasn't taking them both to their own tombs.

[Lucifer]

Whether it was heard or not would remain a mystery to John as he lead the weak and stumbling Poseidon inside of the mountain. The wound was no longer bleeding, but he could see around the wound black lines that seemed to be slowly spiderwebbing toward the God's heart. Though with the wound closed it would appear the progress has either stopped or slowed considerably.

The sound of thunderclaps continued to echo through the skies and rattle the mountain itself. While the screams and howls of the dead continued to pulse inside of his mind as the Death Gods fought to restore order to their domain. Where does John take Poseidon?

[John]

John figured the safest place right now would be the more combat oriented gods so he wanted to head to the Norse sphere of the mountain. However traveling the surface would be difficult with the injured Poseidon. He needed to use a path through the mountain to get there so he would use his knowledge of the cave system from his Forge.

[Lucifer]

In general it would be a wise move to try to use the tunnels to traverse the territory in times of war such as this. But with the chain piercing through the mountain, and the rumbling of the ground and sky he would make it about halfway there before he encountered a cave in. Does he try to break through the cave in or does he try to find another route?
