But Adelaide showed she wasn't all talk. Kaia could respect that no matter the outcome.

She said with a shrug.
"You said you wanna help people. Well... I may now be a fan of you teaching kids how to fight... but, if you think you can train me, get me to be as strong as you, maybe even teach me more about this... Qi stuff? I would appreciate it."

If Kaia was surprised it came down to this, she didn't show it. She sat in silence for a bit, considering it.
If training street kids was just going to make their lives worse, then she probably had the time to train someone else.
"Yeah, alright. You can bring some friends if you want."
Sometimes it's nice not to suffer alone.
