"I can if I go slow."

He'd say honestly.

"But I will probably still need a command. To get started."

He'd give an embarrassed blush at that.

[Leif Adamson]

Leif's smile was kind as she looked at him, and she offered a nod. She backed up, then, and raised both of her hands. Her skin tingled for a moment, and then in a flash of blue lightning, another sword appeared in her left hand. She lowered it, gripping the hilt, and stared at him. That smile faded away.

"Then stand up straighter. You danced before. So walk through the steps this time. One at a time, slowly." Her voice had slipped down half an octave, and her eyes flashed once more. Her military training spoke again, her voice demanding and cold. "Move like you want to attack me, and when I go to strike you, phase your weapon through mine... and pull it out of my hand. Without touching it yourself."

She snickered slightly, that command still in her gaze. "And that's an order."

Zero Ability: She can create electrical-magnetic bladed weapons. The entire length of the weapon is sharp enough to cut. Each blade does 75% of her energy stat in damage.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would immediately fall into position. He would let the energy of his blade glow and move towards Leif in a well guarded charge. He would move the ring as though he was going to lift it over his head, making sure it looked like he was going for an overhead swing. Then he phased the ring through his neck and made a powerful horizontal swing to her chest, making blocking an already awkward task.

[Leif Adamson]

Leif watched his movements carefully, waiting until it phased through his neck before she jumped back a few steps, remaining abnormally light on her feet. She got just outside of his range when she took another swing with her sword, not bothering to block him but still attempting to disarm him.

"Good. Again."

[Djoser Aneksi]

When the disarming attack came, he opened his arm and put it in the loop, so instead of dropping it, it would add momentum to a spinning attack. This time the weapon phasing through any counter maneuver to try and land a hit.

[Leif Adamson]

Leif winced, knowing the pain that was about to come. She threw herself backwards as soon as her arm phased through the blade. She wondered if she would be able to pull it out of his hand altogether, utilizing her speed and her weight in order to pull away from him.

The moment the blade touched her arm, she hissed in pain. It would be yet another cut in her jacket that she would have to sew together, but there were plenty of those that she had already dealt with.

The cut didn't feel right, not like a cut at all. It was a dull, numbingly intense pain that throbbed and cramped instead of stung. Her arm would ultimately phase through the weapon.

Dj would stop and give a horrified expression. Dropping the weapon.

"Oh my God are you okay!?"

[Leif Adamson]

Leif winced, gritting her teeth, and held her arm to her chest, allowing her sword to fall away into little bolts of lightning. They sparked between her fingers, more intense than they had been the first time, but did eventually fade away to nothingness. She looked down at her arm and stretched it high above her head to try to relieve the cramping sensation.

Looking back over at DJ, she nodded, letting her arm fall back down. "I'm fine," she murmured, surveying the damage done. "I was mostly worried about my jacket." Taking a deep breath, she started trying to rub her arm with her other hand. "I knew it was going to damage me when I pulled back like that."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Did it slice you open? Should I call a doctor?" He'd say worried. His weapon disappeared into a tanzanite mist and he ran over to observe and potentially help with first aid.

[Leif Adamson]

"It didn't cut me at all, actually. Hurt like a bitch, though."

Leif held out her arm for DJ to examine, as if just proving a point, and gave a shake of her head.

"It's no big deal. I went into this knowing I could be injured. You're acting like it's your first time ever hurting someone." She offered him a little half-smile, trying to make him feel better. "I've been in war. Literally. This is nothing."

[Djoser Aneksi]

He would sigh and step back. "No, but it would have been the first time I hurt someone I didn't intend on." He was relieved that he didn't really hurt her, and was fascinated about how the blade actually hurt people.

"You, were a part of the wars back on 259?" He would say curiously but solemnly.

[Leif Adamson]

Leif nodded, shaking her arm out a bit more before returning both of her hands to her jacket pocket.

"Yes. I was." She left it at that, turning her attention to DJ. She wasn't about to make somebody endure the brutality of her story if they didn't want to know.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would nod, willing to respect her privacy.

"So what brings you up here? Even better, what is your name?" He'd say with a genuine but embarrassed giggle.

[Leif Adamson]

"I'm Leif," she said with a nod, not bothering to remove her hands for a shake. She had returned to the cool, unflappable behavior she had shown when she first arrived to the roof.

"I was honestly just wandering, and happened upon you. Looked like you could use some help."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Well Leif, I'm Dj. I really appreciate the help by the way. I have never fought seriously before and it suddenly became a very big priority in my life."

He would say with a sigh. The thought of the trial had him stressed.
