Cain follows, his eyes darting from side to side, taking in the destruction. Even if the attack seemed to be finished, he was still wary.
Once they reach the top, he gently puts a hand on Dion’s shoulder.
“This is... awful. I’m sorry.”
The elder god likely knew these others more personally, but the sting still remained. He had no idea it would end up like this. Would it have changed if he was here earlier? Could he have made a difference?
...
Maybe not. But he had to believe he could still do something.
“What can we do?”

Dion's shoulders just slumped slightly under the weight of Cain's hand, the façade still to fresh to be anything other than flimsy. Exhaling slowly through his nose he'd point to the identical mountain that was connect to theirs by a chain.
"We need to figure out what that means. Be it boon or bane."

Cain follows his point, squinting to look in the distance.
"...sounds like someone needs to go over there, at least."
He's basically volunteering at this point, since Dion certainly couldn't go.

He chuckled at it, but there was an edge to it. If Cain was good at reading people he'd know it would be a safe bet that Dion has ended up on her bad side in the past.

He shrugs slightly. Cain's... mediocre at reading people, when it doesn't come to fighting anyway.

Dion looked over Deimos with a critical eye, weighing the young deity before him before slowly nodding as he turned to go to his throne. Plopping down into it like a man on his last leg.
"Just.... leave the Axe. It's not yours. But you should find your blade down in the workshop."
Dion would fish through a pouch before tossing a heavy bass key at Cain!
"Make your enemies tremble before you Deimos."

Cain catches the oddly-shaped key, holding it in one hand before gently placing the Axe on the ground, respectfully.
"I will. Thank you, Dionysus. I'll avenge them all, I swear it."
Then, with a slight bow, he turns to head towards the workshop.

Cain would actually know where it was, or at least an entrance to it, a room filled with keys lining the wall and a big heavy door with a slot in it for some key or another barred his way!

Cain slowly approaches, looking around at all the keys.
Clearly Dion gave him the real key.
....clearly.
Even though it looked fucking weird.
He goes to put it in the slot!

Cain could feel intense energy building up in the lock before unwinding and the door popped open, revealing a workshop lined with weapons including a large black sword that seemed to catch his eye above all others. |

He walks closer, eyes never leaving that sword... before he finally just walks over to it.

He goes to take it!

It feels so good in his hands, like it was made for him! It doesn't even feel that heavy to him, but he can tell it is solid and well made.

Cain walks out of the room and the thread toward some sweet exp!
Cain gains 10 exp!
Cain has lost 9 holes in his soul!
Cain has proven empowered his domain! His God Right now grants +6 to energy and +6 to his attack.
Cain has claimed Hero Breaker +23 Attack - This large black blade is etched with glowing red runes foretelling the doom of those who look upon it. When Deimos activates the blade's power, energy forms around the blade able to cut right to the soul of his enemy.
Once per thread Cain may activate the ability of the blade locking off one Qi, item, or other special ability that the character has for the thread as he rends the very soul of his enemy as the blade strikes them.
Four times per thread Cain may activate the secondary ability on the blade to bypass item and Qi defenses for a single attack.
