Just a Beach... Right? (Yanmei/Open)

[Sage Sudeki]

Hanging out on a beach? Not only that but you could see far beyond with no storm, Qi beasts crawling from the sea, or bandits ready to sling on you in an instant. So today Spike was sitting in a lawn chair, his swords leaning against it, one in a sheath the other wrapped by some formal cloth. He wore his shades and some swim trunks to soak in the sun and stare at the ocean.

Last time he saw an untainted beach was when he was eight years old... It was while he was waiting for night to fall at the L.A International Airport, they found a beach to hide out in before making the long quiet trek to the airport... He killed for the first time that night and cemented his place in the history of war and his bloodline as a warrior...

"Tch, peace is bullshit."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Mm, that's a sad way to think of things." Yanmei would say, even though she had no context for why he said that.

She'd either been watching him for a while or just happened to hear him speak. In any case she was masquerading badly as a human again and apparently looking for new company!

"Look how nice and calm everything is? So carefree? So relaxing, maybe?"

[Sage Sudeki]

First thing he thought when he heard the voice was danger, but after tensing for a moment he convinced himself he was safe for now. Turning to see the female, he scanned her appreciative for a moment, before settling on her ears. He would smirk and shrug.

"That's just it... Why does this world deserve to be so care free, so relaxing, but our world deserved to be wrecked with war and violence and finally destruction..."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Maybe we just deserve a break from the terror." Yanmei would offer, though she understands the sentiment.

She suddenly blinks in surprise and gasps.

"Hey! How did you know I was from your world?" she'd puff her cheeks. Impossible. Her disguise was so good this time. No one was supposed to be looking at the ears.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would chuckle.

"Well some people notice more than those deadly tits when they see a woman in a bikini."

Spike would reach up and flick his own ear tips to draw her attention possibly to her own.

[Qi Yanmei]

"Do you really think they're deadly?" she'd ask, placing a hand on her cheek and looking oh-so flattered.

Then as an afterthought, she'd reach up to touch her ear and sigh.

"Ah. I always forget those."

Rather she can't do anything about it. Only the wings.

Spike would sigh and look rather mock depressed.

"I have very few weaknesses in this world. Pizza, a challenging opponent, and tits like those."

He'd shake his head and shrug.

"Well, why hide who or what you are here? The dangers are minimal at best."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Weaknesses noted." she chuckles, and it definitely doesn't have a threatening edge.

"Mm, don't get me wrong, I'm not hiding out of fear or shame. I just like interacting with humans and there's a 50/50 chance one of said humans will mistake me for the ever "loathsome" qi-using human."

There's a difference, you know? But that doesn't seem to make a difference to them. Hmph.

"Katsu and I are trying to blend in and not cause a fuss. I've caused him to be thrown into exile once before, I don't want to isolate him again for being what I am."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would grin again and fold his hands behind his head, relaxing a bit more.

"Yeah, I can understand that view point. Fit in, don't stand out... Worked for me for a while."

He'd stand up and hold a hand out to shake hers.

"My name is Sage. Pleasure to meet you."

[Qi Yanmei]

She takes his hand, gripping it pretty delicately.

"Yanmei. Pleasure's all mine~. Sounds like you've lived a very rough life there, Sage."

[Sage Sudeki]

He'd notice her grip and only grip her hand with a firm grip, but just to be respectful.

"My life was probably typical for our world honestly. I was a child when the War of Attrition started and did things to survive, then when the war ended I helped with my home territory. Hard life is pretty typical for our people, I'm sure you understand since you mentioned getting someone exiled."

He'd sigh and stretch his back out a bit.

"I was a prince for the Lightning Country, and was looked down on due to the shadow of my father."

[Qi Yanmei]

"In some ways, I do understand. Not exactly personally, but through Katsu." she nods.

She'd tilt her head, tapping her cheek.

"All the war stuff was over when I was born, so I don't know much about it. It sounds like it was a very hard time. Likely harder than the aftermath. What did your father do to create such distaste for the rest of his line?"

[Sage Sudeki]

"Nothing he did on purpose."

He'd reassure that his father wasn't like a pariah or anything like that.

"My dad was The Lightning Dragon, and was one of the most dangerous people in the territories. So my being anywhere near weak was seen as disrespectful I guess. Those that didn't know I was weak feared me simply for my lineage."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Oooh, a dragon. I see."

She glances over at his weapons, then back at him.

"You don't really seem like someone who would be weak." she notes, genuinely surprised.

[Sage Sudeki]

He'd chuckle and scratch the back of his head.

"Yeah you wouldn't think so, but compared to a Dragon I'm still a child in comparison."
