Just a Beach... Right? (Yanmei/Open)

[Qi Yanmei]

"Comfortable? Hmmmm. We come here a lot." she'd say, motioning to the beach.

"No jobs. I don't know if it even really occurred to us. We've always just wandered and fended for ourselves, before."

She gives a small chuckle.

"I can't really think of what work around here would require a swordsman."

[Sage Sudeki]

"Why not teach swordsmanship? Or offer protection and bodyguard work... Children... Specifically Qi users in this city are being abducted. Not only that, but everyone is in the same boat... Aimlessly wandering. We have no leaders for our community, no king, no Dragons, no chief, no elder, no mayor..."

He'd fold his arms and furrow his brow thinking hard on it.

"There is no symbol or idea to rally behind... Like my father."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Well, why don't you make one? You already said people are looking to you for guidance. Just extend that to everyone." Yanmei shrugs.

"You just offered me some options to give Katsu so you're already like 75% of the way there."

That math is not accurate.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike blinks a bunch of times behind his shades at her math, but nods in the end.

"I've been thinking about that. I don't particularly like leading, or being an answers man. I'd rather someone else did it and I supported them, but if I can simply lead by example, maybe that's something I can accomplish."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Sounds like that's your first step then, hm? Find someone that's a good leader. Then use your influence to convince others they're a good leader! Unless they already have that reputation." she shrugs.

"Oooh. It sounds like so much fun~."

[Sage Sudeki]

Sage would chuckle at how excited she was and the simplicity of her reasoning, though it wasn't like it was wrong. It was more ironic with how hard he had been contemplating things and how easy the possible answer was. He wasn't sure if he could play the task master, the person moving the pieces to create the new figure head for something like this...

"Hey, speaking of, you said Katsu is from 63, which means he is a pretty skilled swordsman, do you think he'd be willing to cross blades with me?"

[Qi Yanmei]

She suddenly looks horrified.

"Are you kidding? You'd make his entire year if you asked him to do that."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would chuckle again.

"Well that's good. How about we go and surprise him with a quick duel, huh? Unless you want to actually go swimming, I'm down for either."

[Qi Yanmei]

She gives a pout as she thinks about it.

She'd personally prefer to go swimming but...she can tell the best option would be letting these two sword-lovers meet and duel.

"I'm starting to feel the strain of being away from him. Why don't you two meet and duel."

[Sage Sudeki]

"Alright. If that's what you think we should do."

Spike was obviously also happy about it, but wanted to be polite as well. He'd go to his lawn chair and pack up, grabbing his swords he would nod with his head.

"My car is near by, we can drive to where he is if you want."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Oh he's on the beach too." she'd say, though she's almost disappointed that that fact means she can't ride in a car. They seemed fun.

"Is it okay to have sword fights here?"

[Sage Sudeki]

"Oh well let me put my stuff away."

He'd go to his car and put his bag, ice chest, and lawn chair away in the trunk before grabbing his sword belt and putting it on so he wasn't carrying both his swords.

"You know, I think it might be frowned on, but honestly, what are they gonna do? Walk up to two people swinging swords and say 'Hey, stop that.'."

[Qi Yanmei]

She follows him the entire time because that's what she do.

"No, I suppose they wouldn't."

Not regular people, anyway.

"Well come along, then. You'll spot him fairly easily."

Yanmei would lead him back towards the water, a little ways away from where he had set up.

"He's the man fighting the ocean." she points.

[Katsu]

Sure enough, further down the beach, Katsu is slicing the waves as they come in, waist deep in water!

Horizontal, vertical, the longer the slice, the better it is.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would nod and follow where she lead this time. Peering at the man fighting the waves. Seemed he was doing some sense training and water resistance. Not uncommon of monks or meditation practices.

Spike would walk to the edge of the water and call out to the man.

"Hey there, want to slash at something that can slash back?"
