Icarus would look to the crowd of people and then Cain and offer a hand to shake.
"I'll give you a chance to prove yourself then Godling."
Kaia would find that while some buildings were standing fine, there were a lot that had damage from the flood, and from the battle with the various monsters. Lifting up a large slab of stone she can see something poking out of the pile of debris, it seemed to be a small hand hanging limply from a thin arm poking out of the rubble.

Kaia would toss the slab, staring down at the arm for a bit before cursing under her breath. As much as she didn't really want to see the rest...that body might still have someone looking for them. So she'd carefully try to remove the rest, trying to cause the least amount of more damage to it.

Kaia would carefully remove the wreckage revealing the crushed body of a little boy, probably not even ten years old yet. Thankfully not someone that she knew.
Cain would find Icarus' handshake to be firm but not really aggressive. However, when the handshake ended he would be left with a vague feeling of something wasn't right. Or like something bad was going to happen. Though if Icarus felt it he didn't show it behind his mask and would turn toward the crowd.
"Those of you who want to fight come with me, let's find where these monsters are nesting and kill them. Grab what weapons you can. We will make sure no one is taken tonight."

She'd clench her teeth, removing the body before seeking someone nearby.
"Hey! Someone know this kid?"
Her ears would perk at the mention of fighting. Even though she'd only just begun moving debris...she was admittedly better suited for beat-downs. At least in her own opinion.

A few of the guys would hesitantly raise up their hands as well as one of the ladies. Though not all following Icarus were fighters, despite the determined look in their eyes.
"Kid?" An older scrawny man would ask from the crowd, moving toward the debris where Kaia was. "That's Rosa's home, though she and her daughter Alexia haven't been seen since the attack. Looks like we know why now..."

"Did she have a son too..?" she'd ask, mostly because this was a male corpse. Maybe her daughter had a friend over when it happened.
Still, she sighs through her nose, wondering if she should keep digging since it sounded like more bodies were stuck under there.
