I agree.
If it wasn't an AoE, and a transference then it would be fine in my book. As you said he gains nothing but an even ground.

I don't think someone needs to be in a board for enough time to be able to say something.
New people can be right as well... keep that in mind. ^^

I'm not quite sure what I've done to offend you but if you don't like nor want me around all anyone has to do is simply say and ask me to leave and I will.

I don't like people leaving just because one person doesn't like him/her. And I don't think Shikei has to leave just because of that.
For example, I'd rather have a good time doing some quality RP with just a handful of people, than spend my time worrying about who hates me. You'll never be able to please everyone, so why bother, really?
However, Malice, if Shikei has something to say, let her speak. Who knows, she might be right! If she's not, oh well, at least she tryed. Nothing wrong there, I guess.

I know very well that posting here, as a guilty user of two characters with crazy Projectile (Emily) /AoE (Haruka) Qi... is more or less Emotional suicide, but meh... I feel like voicing my opinion. >_>;; Omg they're all gonna bash me for this >_>;;Projectile Qi is more or less fine with me as long as it's not the "ZOMG IT WILL HIT YOU NO MATTER WHAT AND YOU CAN'T BLOCK IT LULZ" kind. Emily, for example, has wind-based projectiles -- or wind blades. It can cut, it can cauterize... probably follow due to her wind boomerang ability. However it has quite a list of weaknesses (a few of which Rem has discovered and exploited, which I'm all *grin* at. xD) Like: - One will feel wind/heat approaching before the cut comes. This is even more so when Emily is using heated ones.
- Easily blockable by anything made of metal.
- Unless it is done with the wind boomerang, it's to go only in one direction.
- The more one makes, the less "sharper" they are and the less damage it inflicts (true for when Emily uses her fans)
- Flailing your arms and legs around and jumping to just conjure one or two blades is more tiring than punching once. It's a greater drain of energy and requires a good amount of CON to use properly >_<;
- Emily's wind boomerang can only follow it's target for another try at a hit once, and it's considerably weaker at that point, because wind is slowed down by wind itself, and it turning to another direction decreases speed so... -gonk-
A lot of Personal Buffs have no weaknesses or drawbacks, which in my opinion is pretty unfair as well. But yeah. If one has such Qi (or any Qi for the matter), one will have to make the drawbacks clear. As for Ranged Qi -- well, more or less using ranged Qi puts one at a disadvantage, especially when one becomes dependent on it (personal experience). It's USELESS against faster opponents... more or less, well. That is for Projectile/Ranged Qi. Area of effect... eh... Yeah, they can be quite a bitch to fight against. I admit, Haruka has a bitchy Qi with illusions and such, and honestly thinking of scrapping it regardless of it being 'approved'. Now that I think about it her Qi does sound silly. -will think about scrapping it as soon as she comes back from class- .... Ok, I have nothing else to say. >____<;;;; -kills herself in advance-

Miria, please... we have a thread for spam, already...
Also, I agree with Emily, here... If the projectiles are easily (or not so much) avoidable/blockable, I personally have no problem... specially, since i got a way of my own, to counter her windblades... Hehehehe... XD

I would stick with the stance of no outright ranged qis, mainly because most people, regardless of how the ranged qi would be set up, would see such a qi as an unblockable instant hit thing.

A lot of Personal Buffs have no weaknesses or drawbacks, which in my opinion is pretty unfair as well. But yeah. If one has such Qi (or any Qi for the matter), one will have to make the drawbacks clear. I will have to agree but that is most likely poor moderation, which I hate to say. With the level system that many use the Qi should not go from powerful to "Holy shit its god" power. To use my own current one as an example. In later levels its overpowered and godly, however I can't use it until around level three... at least not one on one. It isn't possible and even if I could it would be pretty useless. People should either be on a set system of "eh not bad" or start at a crap Qi if using levels. As for Ranged Qi -- well, more or less using ranged Qi puts one at a disadvantage, especially when one becomes dependent on it (personal experience). It's USELESS against faster opponents... more or less, well. That is for Projectile/Ranged Qi. It depends on what the Qi does. I can think of quite a few ranged Qis that would seem docile that I could use a certain way and be untouchable. But either way I look back to the series and say no one had such a Qi. I feel it gets too far from the base. Area of effect... eh... Yeah, they can be quite a bitch to fight against. I admit, Haruka has a bitchy Qi with illusions and such, and honestly thinking of scrapping it regardless of it being 'approved'. Now that I think about it her Qi does sound silly. -will think about scrapping it as soon as she comes back from class- I think you made our point.
