Cain didn’t say a word but the grin on his lips curled up into a thing of absolute deviousness. He raised and lowered his eyebrows at her once or twice in an almost suggestive way, taunting as he casually began to step backward toward the door, leaving her one step at a time. He jingled the keys wordlessly, but his eyes simpered, you think I can’t leave you here?~

Her eyebrows lifted slowly as the grin on her face faded, the amusement within almost completely vanishing. Really, now.
It was a little flaw in her overall character layout, or so to speak. The streak of pride that cut through her layers of humility like a knife through flesh, while it showed through in most of her interactions as a healthy self-respect....sometimes got a little out of hand. And when it did, it was a constant reminder that one does not fuck with Delilah Black.
So to speak~
SHUT. UP.[/s]
Maybe it was just a control thing. Maybe she actually wanted to respond to that 'come and get me' sense she got from him...if so, he had a very good judge of her character. But either way, challenge accepted. Just like that, Delilah was on her feet. And then she was in front of him.
She would grab for the lapel's of his jackets, lifting him up with surprising strength to slam him into the locked, barred glass door, rattling the door in it's frame and the glass of the window beside it. Looking up into his face with a warning look...and still a little amused, in spite of herself. He was a good time, after all.
"Point made?" Both his and hers.

Cain’s eyes widened at her a little bit in what seemed like surprise; he’d never had a woman handle him like that before. He didn’t know if he liked it, there was hardly time to think about that. Nevertheless, the smile ripped across his face like wildfire and he did his best to lean in toward her despite her strength, craning his neck a bit as his hands shot up to grab at her shoulders. The kiss would be sudden and aggressive, but it would still the deepest kiss he’d given her yet. After a moment he wrenched his lips away to hiss, almost directly into her mouth: ”Tell me. ”[/blockquote]

Well, that was a reward if she'd ever seen one.
The forceful kiss came as a surprise...that she found herself reciprocating with vehemence. Similar to last night, but nothing like it...more dark passion, destructive lust. She was aware that this was his way of manipulating her. She was also aware that she didn't really care.
Delilah glared cold blue chips of ice into his warm, red eyes. Her hands tightened slightly on his lapel, as she let her body press against his to hold the full length of him in place. A low, angry growl rumbled in her throat against his lips as he finally pulled away.
"'The Virus will make you yearn to be infected. It will be unbearable'."
She nipped at his lips, her lips twisting into a small smirk.

”What Virus,” he growled through gritted teeth, ignoring the devious nip at his lips. His crimson eyes blazed as he glared at the girl and his warm hands clenched more tightly at her shoulders. ”What did he do to me,” Cain almost snarled, spitefully demanding as if he were speaking directly to the man in question rather than Delilah. It wasn’t her fault, but if she denied him this… she’d be just as guilty.

The warmth in her hands was familiar and she remembered her encounter with Cain and his 'cousin' a few weeks back, how suddenly warm he had gotten when he had warned the white haired female against attacking her. She let out a soft but abrupt bark of laughter, her voice changing to one of sly, seductive mirth.
"Apart from that stuff he poured down your throat, which I'm assuming was the virus, a few things. You're so warm Cain...and so thirsty, are you not?"
She practically tittered. Her tongue darted across her lips.
"Either way, he didn't say. But it might have something to do with Qi, if you know what that is. I do.
"He also said. 'When you resist its urges because there is no other source, seek solace in thine graveyard. Enter the cracked tomb. And you will find that you and the boy you slew today may have been the greatest gift of all to you...'. That's it."

As Delilah spoke, Cain leaned his forehead against hers and kept his smoldering glare level with hers. She’d find his skin predictably hot, but less so as the moments passed, and the odd sensation of fiery glow sparking in his red eyes would subtly dim as she continued to explain… and his tight grip on her shoulders relaxed a tiny bit. The gravely stern expression on his gaunt face remained about the same, though, and his brow furrowed at the last bit she expounded.
”The fuck is that supposed to mean,” he growled, frustrated, but perhaps appeased.

She shrugged, "Means exactly what it sounds like probably," The Experiment man might have had an old world way of speaking, but that didn't really seem like a metaphor.
Delilah pushed herself up on the balls of her feet, pushing his head backwards, almost leering.
"Means we've gotta go find out~."
Her tongue darted out from between her lips again, skirting his briefly as she locked eyes with him...insatiable.

Cain grunted and bared his teeth at her a little as she pushed up, his body still pressed against the barred door, feet barely touching the ground. He was very much like a cat with its fur being brushed the wrong way, irritated at the situation but not quite enough to lash out…
"We, huh.." he mumbled, flicking his gaze down from her eyes to her lips for a moment. The corner of his lip tweaked up grimly as her tongue passed along it but he didn't reciprocate. He turned his eyes back up to hers and gave her a dark look.
"There's no 'we' in this mission, doll. There's only an I." he grinned, leaning his head back. "Now you gonna put me down or are we just gonna go at it again right here?"

She grinned challengingly up at him.
"I'd like to see you try to stop me. And I'm down for that, if you are."
She then released her tight grip on his coat to let him slide down to the floor. But her hands would remain where they were, palms pressed firmly against him to prevent him from moving too much. Body still attached to his to reinforce that she was still very much present.
"I'm going."

"Going where?" Cain scoffed, impudent, but serious. "We don't even know where to start." He steadily lifted his hands up to hers, covering them, smothering them in a tight grasp. He would pull them away from his chest, but he'd only succeed in pulling the girl closer to him as he held her wrists firmly against where her palms had been; not much of a change aside from the subtle shift of power, if she'd let it. The look he gave her was completely serious, even a little grim. No more smiling. "Why d'you wanna go so bad, anyway?" he growled quietly down at her, their faces still rather close. "I have ideas," She said evasively, but truthfully. Delilah let herself be pulled closer, privately enjoying that possessiveness of his grasp. His unsmiling visage wasn't unsettling...but this was pretty much the first time she had seen him without a smile. She had a feeling that this was the real Cain, the one that his beneath the infinite smiles and the "don't-give-a-shit" attitude, maybe even beneath the cruelty and bad intentions. A base layer, likely the one he was been with rather than the one invented by circumstance.
As to his second question...
She shrugged again, continuing to look up at him defiantly, calm and as serious as he was. "Because I like you," she said as though it were obvious. "And I want to see what happens next."
Delilah slipped one of her hands out of his, letting it trail down his shirt to the clasp of his jeans once more, bold lust in her eyes.
"Or, we could push that to later," she invited with an innocent blink. "Since you don't seem to mind it rough."

Though a man of his nature couldn't be taken aback by it, Delilah was certainly more eager than Cain had initially expected. Maybe she just wanted to see him get hurt again. It wouldn't be a far stretch, since she still harbored resentment for the man she'd been told he was. Or she was getting a little clingy. Neither of those seemed very appealing to Cain, but there was still a bit of something he felt like he was missing; not regarding her motives for tagging along, but his reasons for wanting to go alone. Still giving her a hard look, Cain's hand moved down to find hers again and tighten his fist around her hand quite firmly, stopping it in its tracks. He gave her a very long, silent stare. It would seem as though he intended to refuse again, perhaps tell her to fuck off or something.
"Or…", he said, doing none of the above, "we could take this to a graveyard."
There was no smile where there usually would have been for such a remark, but he seemed to have conceded to one or more of her demands… without losing any of that stubborn attitude, of course. He raised his brow at her expectantly, an almost reluctant 'so-whaddya-say' kind of look, with a little tilt of his head.

She met his eyes with a level look, lids narrowed slightly in curious suspicion at his continually unsmiling face. Good. He was serious about it. She wasn't quite sure why she wanted to go with him, not entirely. She chalked it up to her maternal instincts, for the most part; wanting to keep him safe. Though why she felt that he was deserving of that was beyond her. But she was going to roll with it, until it stopped making sense.
She would step back from him, pulling her hands away, the smile dropping into an expectant look. "Sounds like a plan." Delilah gave a little flourish of her hand to indicate she was at his disposal. "Shall we be off, then?"

Cain stooped to pick up the car keys that he had inevitably dropped when Delilah pinned him suddenly against the door. Straightening up again, he twirled the keyring on his finger once and then reached over to flick open the one lock they had bothered locking on their hasty way in last night. He pulled his gaze away from her and pushed through the door, stepping out into the dawn.
”Where’s the nearest graveyard, anyway?” he asked as he turned the corner into the alleyway, although he knew the answer to that very well… he was hoping she’d know of another one, because that one was definitely out of the question if she insisted on tagging along. Because nothing could be more suspicious that a graveyard full of unburied bodies; hundreds of them, with skeletons piled a dozen feet high. That kind of thing just wasn’t, you know, normal, even for a cemetery in the apocalypse.
Cain clicked his tongue at the thought of it and almost smiled on accident. To see her face when she saw something like that… inwardly, he cackled a little bit.
