Since the Gods had joined the Dragons, Olesya was doing a lot more business between the newly joined factions. This also meant a lot of errand running. Give this to this person, send this to that person...Olesya felt like the goddamn pony express. Supplies had arrived from the North today, including some packages for Mathew. Les had strapped them to the back of her motorbike and headed off toward his house.
She cut the motor just outside his home, kicking down the kickstand and leaning it slightly as the kickstand took. She swung her leg over and off the bike, regaining her footing before untying the packages from the back. She took the packages in her arms and headed up the walkway, knocking on the door with her foot since her arms were full.

"Can you get the door? I got my hands full at the moment."
She could hear Mathew call out from inside the building. She would stand waiting for a few moments before the latch on the door unlocked and the door opened. The smiling face that met her was not Mathew, Bastille, or even Gemini. Rather it was one very alive Sean Barker.
"Why Olesya, how wonderful it is to see you. I feel like it's been months."
Barker said in a very familiar tone. He turned to his body and head to look inside the house.
"Mathew, it's Olesya. Would you like me to let her in?"
He called out like it was the most normal thing in the world.
"Yeah, she is cool." Mathew would say entering the living room with both babies in his arms.

When the door opened, Olesya's breath caught in her throat, and a look of utter and complete shock washed over her body. She stared at the man who had ruined her life, it was the first time in years she was less than five feet apart from this monster. 'Olesya is it? Sit back and relax, this won't hurt one bit.'
A pinch in her arm, followed by what felt like lava being injected into her body. Olesya writhed and screamed, trying to get away from the pain, but her wrist, ankles, and torso were buckled down with thick leather straps. The heat travelled through her veins, spreading from the injection point until it felt like her entire body was on fire. Stars pricked the corners of her vision.
'Well...maybe a bit.' Her palms were sweating, her heart racing, she felt neauseated. The smell of sweat and blood and burning filled the air. An alpha test, completely hulked out and oozing some sort of corrosive gunk barrelled toward her. She dove to the side, barely missing the monstrosity. She was faster, stronger, the chemicals injected in her acted like some sort of psychotic steroids. She picked up a heavy metal table and hauled it at the blobby enemy with one arm... Her chest hurt, her eyes stung, her ears started to ring and the corners of her vision started to darken. A cold cement floor, damp and slightly sticky. Olesya picked her face off the ground, her skin sticking for a moment before coming free. Her eyes was swollen shut, the stickiness was due to the crimson pool that had dried over the last couple hours. Farther down the hall, a clanging sound was heard as something metal struck another something metal. LIke colliding pipes.
It was coming closer.
'Up, up, up, my little experiments. Today's gonna be a big day!'
Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang...
Barker was walking down the cell block, running a pipe along the bars, the cound ricocheting off the cement walls, ringing in her ears. Olesya groaned, putting her hands over her ears to block off the cacophony... She felt like she was underwater, she could hardly hear Barker turn and talk to someone inside, it was all muffled and sounding far away. A man appeared, middle aged...and he was holding Mathew's children. What had happened?! Where was Mathew!? Why was Barker alive?! Olesya snapped out of her daze and into action before her mind had a chance to catch up, snapping a right hook for Barker's face as she looked past him into the house. "MATHEW?!"Was he within earshot? Was he seriously injured? She'd have to take the girls back to her house with her until she could find him, she needed to make sure they were safe. Her mind was racing, pulling up contingency plans for rescuing his kids from these intruders and finding Mathew. Had it been anyone else at the door, Olesya would have treated the scene with careful scrutiny, but this was Barker. He ruined her life. Killed her family. And now, here he was in his friend's house with his friend's kids...and she wasn't going to let him do to them what he did to her. Whether or not he should already be dead.

Sean turned back to face Olesya and allow her entry just as she sent her hook for his face. Rather than a widening of the eyes in surprise or any normal reaction Barker's lips twitched into the smallest hint of a smile. Like a scientist seeing a prediction of a test subject's reaction to stimuli going as hypothesized.
The blow connected solidly and Barker's face hooked to the side, nearly hitting the door frame. He stumbled to the side as his right hand pressed against his ribs. If Olesya watched his hands closely and her eyes were not drawn to the blood that began to trickle from Barker's face, or the man who held Mathew's kids now closing the distance, then she would see a small pulse of light. Followed by his tattoos glowing faintly for just a moment.
"Jesus Les." The man said with a familiar voice. "You could at least ask before assaulting my guest." He said frowning. "You okay Sean? You're fine. Get up and stop faking." He knew how hard Olesya could hit, and how hard of a blow Barker could take.
Barker straightened up and wiped the blood from his lip. Giving Mathew the smallest inclination of his head. "As you wish Mathew. I live to give." A hint of sarcasm tinting his voice.
"So you still want to come in Les?" Mathew asked, setting the girls who now wore pendants into their playpen.
OOC: Sean Barker now how Olesya's Qi!

"'Les?'"
She looked up at the old man who called her by her nickname.
"Sean?"
Her gaze flashed to Barker, who was standing up from the blow to the jaw. Just seeing him this close made her skin crawl.
"Mathew?!"
She looked back to the old man. There was no way...no way. She felt like she had been catapulted into an episode of the Twilight Zone.
"What the hell is going on here?!"

"Well I was just feeding my kids while Sean got ready to make lunch, before you tried to knock his teeth in."
He said rolling his eyes before shooting Barker a glare.
"And you. You need to start asking before you take. These are allies now."
He had the tone of a patient Father who was used to chasing after his kids. Which in a way he was, between his kids, Bastille, Barker, Leon, Kiyr, Rai, and everyone else. It was a wonder that he had time to himself.
"Would you like some tea? Are you hungry?"
Mathew was acting like Barker being here and him being much older was completely normal. Mostly because for him it was.

Olesya sputtered, making a couple incoherent noises and gesturing between the two of them before spitting out actual words.
"You're old! He's dead! And bad! Is this supposed to be normal?!"
Yup. No filter.

"I'm cursed, he saved my life so I granted him his. And when has my life been normal."
Baker brushed past Mathew to the kitchen with a smirk. He got what he wanted, Mathew and his friend could hash the rest out.

"And so you're letting him in your house!? He should be locked up and thrown away the key!!"She looked at old man Mathew like he had fifty heads, which with everything going on, he might as well have. She took a very deep breath, and then another, and a third as she attempted to calm herself down from her frenzy. Who could blame her, the man who ruined her life was under the same roof for the first time in a decade. "I just...please...explain to me..."'Why, I'm creating the the perfect supersoldier.'
'This won't hurt a bit.'
'Take a look at your peers, will you?'
'Be careful, they bite.'
'...experiment.' She felt faint again, collapsing into the nearest chair and running her hands through her hair. Her eyes were still giant and she was shaking.

"Sean can we get some tea please?"
Mathew called back to Barker, who was amazing in the kitchen. Who would have thought? Really.
"It's like I said. When I killed myself to bring Hades back to life I accidentally dragged his soul along. I rescued Hades by giving him my way back to the mortal world. If it wasn't for Barker I wouldn't have made it back in time. His containment was breaking and I had to make a choice. A life for a life."
He shrugged. It made perfect sense to him. A debt must be repaid.
"David and Leon agreed on the condition that he is with me at all times or in this house. So in a sense I'm his warden. But we work well together."

Sean? Tea?
'Ohgodhe'sgonnacomebackoverhereher'sgonnabebackinsightohgodohgodohgod..'
With all of her internal turmoil, she didn't understand a single word Mathew said. He may as well have been speaking another language. Hades, mortal world, containment...she had no context and she was not in the best state of mind...it didn't register with anything she understood.
So she sat there, looking dumbfounded and freaked out.

Olesya was in luck as the pot was already on the boil and soon Barker came back with several cups of tea!
"This should help calm you down. I've experimented with the blend for about a year now. It's quite relaxing."
Mathew fearlessly took a cup!
Barker just stared at Olesya over Mathew's shoulder.
"And yeah, that's basically the short version of it." Mathew finished.

Olesya refused to take a cup of tea. In the correctional facility, she had been force fed all sorts of nasty concoctions to act as catalysts with the chemicals injected into her system.
"This should help calm you down. I've experimented with the blend for about a year now. It's quite relaxing."
I've experimented with the blend for about a year now...
I've experimented with the blend...
...experimented...
...experimented...
...experimented...
Snap.
Shrieking, Olesya pushed herself away from the table as fast as humanly possible, the chair clattering away and she fell to the floor, scuttling back as if the floor itself were fire.
"NO! NO! JUST STAY AWAY FROM ME! LEAVE ME ALONE! LEAVE ME A-A-"
Once her back reached the wall, she pulled her legs up to her chest and hid her face in her arms, her hands in her hair in tight fists. She was shaking and sobbing.

The correctional facility was a very different place for Mathew than Olesya. When captured he had not fought it, rather he made it work for him. He adapted and did what he needed to do not to survive, but to thrive. And he had been the only one willing to go along with what could not be changed. Hurriedly setting his cup down he slashed his hand back silently telling Barker to just go to the kitchen or something as Mathew leapt up.
Deftly making his way over to Olesya as she panicked he reached out to try and grab her face at the chin. Her would take any lashings she dished out in her panic.
If he managed to get ahold of her he would force her face to face his. Trying to force eye contact. His body was changed, but his eyes were the same.
"Les. Les. I want you to listen to me. Calm down, and listen."
He would speak slowly, but firmly. He was not asking, he was telling.

"DON'T TOUCH ME, DON'T TOUCH ME!"
She shrieked, batting at him with her hands and kicking her legs in a frantic way. She was caught up in the flashback, her heart racing, her breathing erratic, tears streaming down her face.
Les. Les. I want you to listen to me. Calm down, and listen.
His voice had a bit of a rougher edge to it, a bit more worn, but it still struck a chord of recognition in Olesya. Mathew. Mathew was safe, Mathew was okay, Mathew was good...
The shrieks subsided to breathy sobs, and she blinked rapidly, trying to make eye contact with him.
