She didn't look back, stumbling out of the house and down the stairs, her legs feeling like jelly. She walked a block before turning a corner and collapsing against the wall. This time she didn't cry, she hardly shook.
She just stared at the open sky, unable to take in what had just happened, and what she'd just seen and heard. It was just too much.

Leon was on his way to Mathew's house to discuss a play date with the girls and Spike, for when the girls where older. He also needed to tell Mathew about some things he had learned about blood lines and the effects it could have on Qi and its evolution.
Of course, he was until he saw the white haired woman... O Bogard? No that wasn't right. The voice of the Storm Dragon, yeah... But still. He remembered her from the correctional facility, and she looked like she was suffering shell shock. Made a lot of sense, she was among those like himself who resisted.
"Hey... Are you alright?"

It took her a moment to register that soneone was speaking to her, much less what he was saying. Spikey...Leon...was standing in front of her, his normal cocky grin replaced with...concern? She and Leon had scraped elbows a couple times back in high school, and they both knew of each other aince they held positons of authority. She would be mildly surprised she registered on his radar...were she feeling anything but complete shock.
"N-No."
She answered truthfully.

Leon would stay where he was simply let his presence be enough signal he was curious and concerned.
"Do you mind if I ask whats wrong? Do you need a hospital? Cause those are a thing now."
He tried some humerus and concerned words to lighten her attitude. Didn't need the Seikatsugan to see she was distraught over something.

She took a deep breath, it was shaky as she exhaled. There were pins and needles in her arms and fingertips, and the corners of her vision were a bit dark. She felt sick to her stomach.
"Barker's...back."
Having been in the facility with her all those years ago, he would understand the gravity of those two words leaving her mouth. Seeing Barker crumble to the ground dead had been a sense of closure to Olesya. Obviously the threat was still out there, but killing Barker had been like closing a dark chapter on her life. But now...

Leon would sigh and nod to the realization of what was going on in her head.
"Ah... Him being alive, over the death he deserved... What would you have done about it?"

"That...man deserves nothing short of being locked away forever, or tied up in the Arizona desert to have his eyes pecked out by crows, or tied to the backend of a car and dragged down the Audobon..."
She could think of a thousand fitting punishments for the monster who ruined her life

"So its not vengeance you seek, but retribution? All those punishments can be carried out by a jury or court of law. You don't want to get your frustrations out yourself? Think of the position he is in now. No power, forced to be the man servant of an ex-experiment for who knows how long. No longer important, just some fool forced to work for Mathew. You don't think that's eating away an egotistical man like him? It's probably just as bad not having freedom as tieing him up in the arizona desert."
Leon wasn't sure if he was getting his point across or not.
"If it where me however. I'd be plotting my revenge. The Way of The Dragon, pain, trial, death, combat. As a Dragon... You should be attempting to destroy your enemy."
Leon would pause to see if she'd look at him.
"Not get fresh air and let it continue to try and destroy your psyche. This is your strife, your trial of pain. You either live through it and improve the power of your strength of will, or it kills you. You will die of battle. The Dragon Way."

Leon had a point...she looked up at him, the lost look in her eyes evaporating to reveal her intellect and strategy. The wheels in her head started turning as the shock wore off.
"Hes there because he wants to be. Hes biding his time. Doesnt Mathew realize he has a plan?Hes playing into the palm of his hand! Barker never does anything without an ulterior motive...hes a ticking time bomb."
She rubbed her face, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"God, Mathew, what have you done?"

Leon listened to her thought pattern.
"Then I suggest, and you don't have to in my opinion, but. Try and figure out the plan, defuse the bomb, kill the terrorist. OR wait and throw it in Mathews face when it goes off. Either way seems to me you will still be faced with your enemy... Basic of most basic Dragon questions... Who is your enemy?"

Olesya nodded, agreeing with his suggestion. Barker was probably biding his time, gathering intel, waiting to strike. Olesya would do the same. As much as the immature part of her would love to throw it in Mathew's face for being wrong just once, she didn't want to rick people's lives just to prove she was right.
Who was the enemy?
"Barker. Strike. Anyone who is against our people, preventing us from creating a functioning, propserous, safe civilization."

Leon would raise a brow.
"Do you mean Dragons, or humans in general? Californians, or your close knit friends?"
This was an important detail, because if it was Dragons it would make sense, but if it was humanity in general, Leon would have to disagree.

"The Dragons. They are my people, my family. Though I'm friendly with the Crows and Gods and others, if it comes down to it, I will protect what is mine."
Olesya picked herself up from the gruond, dusting herself off and feeling far less dizzy than she had a couple minutes ago.

"Your list of enemies is long. Mathew, Barker, David, Me.... In extension Levi, Kiyr, Rai. The Dragons are a group of people recognized by each other. Not this rigorously structured gang system we have now. In the future any real Dragon would have a difference in opinion, and turn on another Dragon, its just our way of life... You are very close to the truth however... You find that truth, I'll recognize you as a named."
Leon would attempt to put a hand on her shoulder and give a slight squeeze.
"Remember your views are not wrong. They are a guide to the truth."

Les nodded, taking his words to heart. This wasn't the first time she'd heard this, both David and Mathew had spoke about the Dragon's differences before. Olesya was of the opinion that the truth lied somewhere in the middle. If they were simply at odds with each other, they wouldn't have the combined following they had now. Armies of men who answered to the Elders call as a whole. Hundreds of civilians that went about their day to day life, trusting that the Dragons will protect them and bring them peace. But Leon was right, they had a lot of enemies. She had a lot of enemies.
"Having enemies means you stood up for something once in your life."
She responded, a grin passing her lips for the first time since Mathew's door opened and she came face to face with the man who shattered her perfect life. The panic had receded and now she was left thinking. Thinking meant there were options. Options meant there was a chance for victory. Panicking removed that chance, and wouldn't benefit anyone.
"Thanks, Leon."
