[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie frowned as the chains started to shift, and naturally braced herself. She had known he wouldn't like what she had told him any more than she had liked what he had said. And this...this was her ancestor? Such a dark...being. Likely a dark past.

She was, however, logical enough to realize that each person was different. What he was was not what she would become. Just because she was descended from him did not mean that she was a reflection of him.

"I do not think you grasp the severity of your situation, Alphon--"

Kyrie flinched back and nearly threw herself into a backwards roll, hissing and feeling her eyes sting with pain as she jostled her highly-sensitive arm. When she rolled back into a crouch, she saw that Bhaltair had come to her rescue...

...along with a golden, shining knight in armour.

Well, if that wasn't a vision from many girl's dreams, she didn't know what was. Breathing deeply, she nodded her gratitude and, betting that she wasn't going to have that bloodline qi unlocked by Alphonse - and not entirely sure how to bring it out otherwise - she wondered if...

She created a chain of shadow...and tried to leash it to the ability to open that portal that now resided in her arm. It seemed to have coiled about his own arm, so she was taking a guess. Because she needed something more to defend against six deadly chains than her own qi and current one-armed status. Certainly she could defend somewhat, but not as effectively.

The chains seemed to move independently from one another, she saw.

Bhaltair nodded in response as the knight pulled back and thrust forth its hulking lance that was blocked by the now shield shaped chains, however bhaltair was no push over. Alphonse was hurled back.

Kiyr could feel a tug again except... she was the one doing it. Three chains would spring from her back. She would find it rather exhilerating as a red aura sapphire aura would surround her body.

Alphonse pulled himself from the wreck and descided on retreat and darted to a shadow slipping through, ceres would chime in.

"Alphonse Barrial somehow just sprang up in paris, france."

Kyrie blinked as the feeling separated into three and the origin point shifted to her back. She blinked, wide-eyed and curious, and craned her head and neck around to look over her shoulder, moving the chains to curl in an arch overhead. She felt almost giddy for a moment as she came to the realization: '...well...that was a lot easier than I thought...'

She blinked at Ceres' chime, having been rather distracted through the battery occurring right in front of her.

"He likely has the same qi I do...so he jumped shadows to Earth by bending and folding them. Continue to monitor his whereabouts... I need to grab a few things. Bhaltair...do you wish to come with..?"

Like her oracle bottle, for one. She needed some insurance in a room that he would not be able to pull the same stunt, twice. Despite the pain shooting up and through her arm, she would turn and move quickly to her room to grab that item up before making ready to depart. Unfortunately - or fortunately, perhaps - she met Einrik on the way and had a heated discussion while doing so when he saw the state of her arm and the pain she was in!

After she was finished, she would look to Bhaltair and Einrik - who would be coming, he insisted - and would pull them both into shadow and wrap them with her qi before searching out the ripple that Alphonse would have left to tail after him.

Bhaltair did wish to go.

Kiyr would find herself in an open field in France. However seeing the city near by was easy. Bhaltair would question kiyr however.

"What are we looking for exactly? Never dealt with someone who can do the things he does during the war."

[Kyrie Blaze]

'Where is he, Ceres? I need you to continue to communicate directions to me and monitor him from a distance.'

Kyrie would take a few slow, deep breaths before looking to Bhaltair.

"...fortunately for us there will only be so many times he can jump shadows. Unfortunately, it is likely that he will have at least one more time on myself. As for the chains and Doomed Beast...I do not know if I could summon the dragon again, but I seem to have discovered the chains without him activating them for me."

She blinked; she was observant and a quick study. By watching him closely she had found a way around it on her own. So that was a good sign. And while Alphonse may be intelligent...he had been stagnant for many years, and everything would be vastly different to him.

Which was a good thing for her.

"You should watch for shadows that move on their own...or an after trail of wisps that would signify he just disappeared into one."

She stuck her good arm out and demonstrated what it would look like; the shadows curled away from her waving arm, like smoke.

"This might be more difficult, but deeper shadows within a shadow itself. Or shadows that are darker than others right nearby. Our qi has to be sustained within them...and once the shadow is taken away, we have to come out. Unless he has learned a way to generate the shadow pool he needs on this plane while inside it...in which case, any shadow that is not cast from an object would be a good thing to watch out for."

She would be scanning as they walked.

Bhaltair nodded a bit before looking around trying to pick these things out.

Kiyr noticed nothing in particuler seemed he stopped jumping as soon as he got to the surface and took off on foot. Ceres however was tracking him.

"He is moving at a rather high speed out into a mountain range to your east."

[Kyrie Blaze]

'High speed? Can you get a visual from your current position and tell me if he is on that snake of his..? And is there anything aside from the mountains themselves that would draw him there?'

Kyrie would inform Einrik and Bhaltair. It was possible they could get ahead of him if she shadow-jumped again.

[Mr. Kaar]

Ceres answered shortly.

"He is using the chains as whips and hooks to pull himself along. Nothing in the mountains I can tell... He is drawing a lot of attention from Midgard troops."

Bhaltair would nod his understanding to Kiyr if they needed to shadow jump again.

Ceres would chime back in.

"Kiyr your mask wishes to share power with you.."

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie was nearly about to pull them in when Ceres stopped her. Much as she needed to move, Ceres had also once given her advice to allow her mask to share with her.

She stopped, her qi receding from stretching out to take Bhaltair and Einrik.

"One moment. My mask...wants to share something with me."

The blonde closed her eyes and brought the mask back into existence at the "second level" she had acquired. Wings spread out behind her head as normal, the mask itself covering a bit more of her face for protection, rather than just a thing edge at the sides and a band across her forehead. Now it covered her entire corehead and back to shield her ears. Armor that overlapped like and in the shape of feathers covered her neck and some of her upper torso and arms.

'Show me, s'il vous plait?'

The mask reacts by trying to syphon some of kiyr's energy and mix it with its own. If allowed Kiyr would note her arms moving to hold a ball of shadow in her hands, with mixed light blue energy swirling about.

Before the energy was obsorbed into the mask armor and propelled through her body escaping her back like a jet pack.

(Kiyr gains shadow energy soul ball. +10 charisma when used. If hits knocks out abilities of opponent for one post.

Kiyr gains shadow energy soul flight. She is able to propell herself through the air at low altitudes as fast as her Charisma.)

[Kyrie Blaze]

As Kyrie shot into the air with her newfound ability to hover, she took a few deep breaths and then summoned the chains. She coiled one each around Einrik and Bhaltair.

Much as flight was a good option, she didn't have time to play catch-up with two people riding with her. She looked to Bhaltair and then Einrik, studying the full extent of his qi before speaking her instructions.

"Einrik... When we pop out of the shadows I am going to release you and Bhaltair and shoot that orb you just saw at Alphonse. It will completely remove his qi just long enough for you to close the distance and touch him. You will not be able to cut his qi completely unless you apply it the moment you touch him. The chains...they boost our natural ability by a portion for each chain. If you do not manage to activate yours before...well, it will at least dampen his abilities and make it extremely hard for him to shadow step. Bhaltair, I need you to engage him so Einrik can get in close. Understood?"

Einrik gave the affirmative. As soon as Bhaltair would, she would pull them into the shadows and fold them, seeking out either Alphonse's shadow or a shadow shortly ahead she could pull them to..!

Bhaltair would nod. Kiyr could find a shadow for a phone tower a bit ahead of Alphonse!

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kiyr takes them there! She would wait until Alphonse was nearly upon them and prepared herself by attempting to summon another ball, regardless of whether or not it eliminated the jet pack.

Once her ancestor was in range, she would release them all by propelling them from the shadow, likely getting her bearings much more quickly than Einrik or Bhaltair as she had been in and out of the shadows more times than both of them combined. She released them from the chains and would put on a burst of speed towards him and launching the ball!


Einrik would grunt and shake his head but try to regain his orientation quickly enough to do as Kyrie had instructed him!

Alphonse would be surprised by the attacking ambush, shooting a chain to his side to grab a tree while three others moved to block the shadow ball. When blocked the chains vanish and his momentum carries him to a sliding roll on the ground. He pushes himself to his feet in time for Bhaltair to appear over head with a hell of an axe kick. Alphonse dodges to the left keeping an eye on Bhaltair!

Einrik sweeps sneakily to the side, making sure to keep out of Alphonse's peripheral vision before cutting in to tackle the man and cut off his qi with his own!


Kyrie takes a couple deep breaths and launches herself to the opposite side that Einrik chose to go to further aid in the distractions with one of her chains moving to smack Alphonse's face.

. o O ( Qi: Einrik has the ability of "Localized Imprisonment". This Qi allows Einrik to, so long as he has touched someone, block their Qi. If someones CHA is higher than his own, it will not work fully (only dampen), and it lasts for up to 3 posts. )
