Portals to the Unknown [GM]

The hit works, but as Bhaltair comes in stabbing with the lance of his knight it seemingly impales Alphonse. However three of Alphonse chains emurge from his back, and he is able to phase right out of any grip that is on him.

"Your all much more powerful than I thought."

He would sink phasing into the ground.

"I can't detect him anymore."

Ceres would tell Kiyr.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Einrik cursed as the man slipped away and tried to deck him to knock him out.

If Alphonse still left he would snarl...because he needed line of sight to maintain the block on the man's qi. However, on the bright side, he wouldn't have to touch him again to activate it. Alphonse's qi was stored so he could block it at will!


Kyrie frowned and sank into the shadows of Einrik and Bhaltair to see if she could sense him, there...and she makes the mental question to her mask if there was anything else she could learn. Or even if the mask itself could track him.

[Mr. Kaar]

Einriks attack phases through Alphonse face as he vanishes underground.

Kiyr can not sense Alphonse in the shadow.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie frowns and exits the shadow...

"I wonder if he went back to the Doomed World..."

She looked at her arm, still held tight to her chest and throbbing as the nerves sang about their damage. The thought made sense to her, though. He had used that tactic to escape from battle last time...what was to stop him from doing it again when he was outmatched.

'Ceres, if I were to generate a portal, would there be any way to keep it open?'

He had been trapped there. She wasn't going to make the same mistake.

[Mr. Kaar]

"Someone of your bloodline may be able to hold it open on this end."

Ceres would answer.

"Kiyr I can see into that world he did not go there."

Bhaltair would say.

[Kyrie Blaze]

That was either Odin or Arianna. Kyrie frowned, but blinked and looked to Bhaltair in question.

"Oh..?"

Do explain..?

[Mr. Kaar]

Bhaltair would point to his eye.

"When I first warned you, I saw Alphonse waiting on the other side, in a chair of black flame. I can still see that world when I look at you... kind of like a back door image when I look at your power."

[Kyrie Blaze]

The blonde would blink a few times before nodding as she took the rather surprising information in.

"Okay. Do you have any idea where he took off to..?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"No... but I can't see those mountains either..."

Bhaltair was putting pieces together.

"He is correct, sensors can not read anything in those mountains. At all."

Ceres confirms.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie looked around. Obviously they had their location for where Alphonse went. Where in those mountain ranges was another matter.

"I am guessing that it must be something natural that prevents your eye from seeing? I suppose it could be mechanical, but he was heading for these ranges... He must have known about them, somehow..."

The blonde shook her head and would pick up both men with the chains before activating her newfound ability for flight even without the Skyforce jacket and would propel them to the mountains!

[Mr. Kaar]

bhaltair was unsure as to what could be blocking his sight. It hadn't happened before.

Kiyr's over head flight reveals very little to the imagination. Its your usual rocky craggy and cold mountain range.

[Kyrie Blaze]

"Tell me if anything changes once we get into the zone where you cannot see?"

She's more or less concentrating on keeping them alive as she maxes out on speed, though she's still looking for Alphonse as well. If she had any guesses, she would say he probably went to any cave systems unless there were any signs of him or others as of late.

[Mr. Kaar]

"The only thing I can see is a system of... Veins? They are like tree roots all over the mountin each connected to another."

[Kyrie Blaze]

"Caves, perhaps... And likely our best bet for the moment."

Kyrie quickly exhales and takes a deep breath.

"Guide me to the nearest starting point of one of the tips..?"

[Mr. Kaar]

Bhaltair simply guided them down, but they did not find a cave entrance, instead it was a tree.

"Hmmm. Perhaps quite literal ruits as it were."
