She appreciated that from him. Understanding that she would do what she thought she was capable regardless of what others expected and understood that telling her not to only pissed her off.
Honestly, she couldn't stop feeling the end of her missing arm. She kept her head down for most of the trip even with the folder resting in her lap and she noticed where Eric was going. Sort of... He was taking her all the way from Cabal itself. She wondered what he was concerned about others overhearing as he remained silent. She'd also remained silent trusting him to get to a point where he thought they'd both be safe. Yeah, she'd actually be trusting him. Funny that she'd start trying that out once in a while.

He would take them away from Cabal's grounds and about a block away from the Academy before he'd break his silence. He'd not bother to look back at the Academy or to change his pace or the way they moved. He could only assume they had enough space now to talk freely. Even so, he would have to be mindful to start and feel out where she was mentally and emotionally.
"So first off, before I say anything further I have a condition and it is non-negotiable. If you can not agree to it I will not judge you or hold it against you, but it is important for you to know that I am deadly serious about this."
He'd pause to let her process what he was saying and implying.
"If you are going to go through with my training and methods then you are not to speak about them to anybody. Period. Not to the other agents, not to our commanders, and not to some random crack head down the street. If I catch wind that a word has been spoken about what we do together, I will end it..."
He'd pause again to let the implication sink in.

She leaned back in her wheelchair and before she'd stand with her arms cross and a brow high but it was instead sitting in her chair and resting her hand on the armrest. Still with the curious brow, however. To his conditions, she'd hands down tell him...
"I agree, Go on..." She'd also assume that by "End it" he'd likely mean "End her" or at least she'd take it just as seriously as that. Just as seriously as if to mean she'd feel no offense or harm for it because she'd agree to these terms and hold herself to them.

She was correct in her assumptions. His intentions were to keep his methods and theories private. They were not for everyone, and he would be greatly inconvenienced should certain parties catch wind of what he was doing with Avice. Though these conditions would have been the same before she was injured to the degree that she currently was.
"My methods of training are designed to help you maximize the effectiveness of your Qi as well as aid in the ease in which you access and tap into that power. As for your condition, I believe that it is possible with training and will that you can shape your Qi to give you the means to overcome your current handicap."
It would not be fast, and it would not be easy. But he was certain it was possible. As for the strength of her Qi and her ability to access it, his methods worked on himself and the few others that have gone through with his training. A small sample size to be sure, but he's seen the results for himself.
"Do you believe that is a path that you would like to go down?"

She liked knowing what she was getting into. Still being cryptic and vague it made her actually question herself. Agreeing not talking about it was easy and not talking about it was just as easy. But to finally agree to go through with it and as rough as he made it sound she could not imagine what he had up his sleeve.
She tilted her head and looked up at him. She had goals, missions, jobs whatever they were called being a runner. Full on life or death situations would happen on the job. However, it was not the work she enjoyed while it was fun. It was the adventure and travel that she enjoyed. It was good pay to afford her travel expenses. What she wanted was to be able to walk and continue that.
"Yes." It was a certain answer. She'd thought about it long enough in the last minute or so. Going in blind was sometimes the only answer. Without knowing what she was agreeing to she'd best believe she had what it took. Overcoming her handicap was honestly the selling point.

He'd keep walking them for some time after her agreement. Keeping his silence as they moved further from the Academy and eventually to a nearby park. He was fairly confident that they would not be heard here. At least not by those that he wished to keep in the dark. But more important than the privacy, or well, just as important, was the scenery itself. He had always enjoyed parks for their natural energy. A fusion of people and nature, in a way everything was represented here.
"Tell me what you know about your own Qi."

She looked out over the park and felt the wind about her. with a strong exhale she'd start talking about her Qi. "I have fangs, I heal really well like I said before, I don't 'ave cuts or bruisin' minutes after they would be created and major injuries take a day or two at most... I can't see color." She'd glance at him and shrug. "People call me a vampire, but I don't drink blood or burn in the sun. It is bright and colors don't work right but I can see fine."
She'd not be sure what else to say about them. "What else would you need to know?"

"That's all well and good. But have you given thought as to why you heal as fast as you do? What you can do with those fangs or anything beyond what you've just stumbled upon? Have you ever looked inside and discovered what it is you have inside of yourself? Or did you simply... manifest."

She looked at him with slight confusion. "It is mostly genetics as far as I know. My Mum fucked a Qi user who in turn just left and she killed 'erself leavin' me to starve in the world." Classic crass. She exhaled again keeping her temper at bay. She tried to think about his words and tried to be realistic about them. "My metabolism is incredible as far as I was told. Once I am all healed I will need to eat a whole boatload. My fangs I don't understand nor the reason why I'm color blind."

"I see."
He nodded slowly as he listened to her explanation of events that lead to her birth, as brief as they were. Her explanation over her abilities was equally shallow, though he could hardly fault her that since she seemed to have little understanding of the principles of Qi and how they develop in a person. Not that his own understanding was perfect, but he'd had some success over the years in his studies. It also helped that he was one of the earlier examples of people to manifest a Qi ability without the use of drugs.
"Well, I can assure you that whoever your Mom fucked has little, if anything to do with your abilities. And whatever ability they may have had, should also have little influence over your own abilities. There are a few examples of Qi being generational, but with how recent this phenomenon is, it's still quite rare."
He'd continue walking them through the park, letting her soak up the words and process that before moving on to the meat of what he had to say. For the introduction at least.
"Earlier you said people called you a vampire. Well, as obvious as it may sound, I can assure you that you are not a vampire. Those are fiction. What you do have is a subtype of Qi for body modification. Your elongated fangs would be an example of that, as would your fast healing and metabolism. Your Qi is one that is harnessed inward typically to enhance your own natural abilities. I personally find that many Qi can be broken down into types and subtypes. My own abilities are fairly common in nature, elemental manipulation has more flavors than a Baskin Robins... If you are old enough to remember those."
He may be dating himself a bit there.
"This means that in theory, we could train your Qi to compensate and overcome your new physical shortcomings. The effects would likely be temporary unless we perfect a method of keeping a low current of energy running through your body to keep it active without running you dry. It's something I've been working on for some time, it won't be a quick fix like a prosthetic would be, but I believe it to be a viable option and one that could make your much more powerful than your profile would otherwise indicate."
To achieve what he was proposing would likely require a high level of mastery over her Qi. Something that she clearly lacked. Though he was willing to give her guidance on that. It would be beneficial to see his theories put in to practice in case he ever needed to make use of such a thing in the future.

He'd guess that she had little knowledge of Qi all that she honestly could gather was she had it. She'd use it to her advantage, anything for a leg up. Considering she now only had one leg it was hard to imaging gaining much. With what Eric had told her in this moment she gathered the likelihood she could use her Qi to walk again was an option.
"Could my Qi make up for my missin' limbs? Yar sayin' ya can 'elp me shape 'em to do so?" The how of it eludes her understanding but she could believe it to be possible. "What will I be doin' to achieve this?"

"In theory yes. Though the shape of it would likely be one of your choosing. Providing you have a strong enough willpower and imagination. Your Qi is under your control. If you master it, you can shape it. I can manipulate stone and other elements of the Earth. But I can do more than shift them, I can shape them into what I want them to look like. I can sculpt you from a slab, or pull a blade from a mountain. Because I have learned to bend my Qi to my will."
A process that had taken many years, and even more failures. But it was there.
"The first step is learning to tap into your Qi. And I don't mean reflexively using it. You need to learn to use it with purpose, to command it rather than reaching for it. To that end, we will be practicing with meditation."
He would continue as he took her off of the path to a secluded shady area of the park, spotted with large trees to sit under. It was under one of these trees that he would unceremoniously tip the wheelchair forward to dump Avice out of it and onto the ground.

She looked back at him with a look that would have asked him if he was serious. "Meditatin'? That inhale- exhale, wax on- wax off bull SHIII-!" she was. Thrown out of her chair and tried to catch herself but without the familiar limbs to do it she got a face full of grass.
She whipped her head to get her curls from her face and just looked at him. "Ya fuckin' cock!" was it really necessary? He was an ass and sadistic if he got any amusement out of that. No doubt she thought he was going to hell for that shit. She rolled over grimacing and cradled her arm landing on it was not the greatest of ideas.

He ignored the name calling and instead opted to focus on the real question. The question about meditation. It would stand to reason that she didn't understand that either, or how useful it could be when dealing with inner energy. Rare was the person who could master their Qi without some kind of exercise to balance themselves out internally.
"Breathing is important yes. Though I've never seen anyone go full karate kid before. Think of it as a way to focus your mind on a single thing, to focus yourself internally. You probably won't see any results at first, and that is normal. Your objective right now is not to master your Qi but to reach a state of balance with yourself."

She used her abdominals and rose up with a grunt from the aches that have yet to heal. She gave him her scowl and she was going to smart ass her next sentence.
"Kind of hard to be balanced when I'm lopsided..." She grumbled but she would humor him more so by getting into a more supportive sitting position. "What kind of thin' do I focus on?"
The grass was cool and the sun was warm a huge difference from the hospital bed. It was a bit bright out but that was not too big of a deal under the trees he dumped her by.
