It's possible some Genes are more susceptible to certain Qi Contaminates and instead of being damaged, or on top of it assimilates. Many things can happen as with [REDACTED] sported scales and wings. Or [REDACTED] had a horn and one arm change into a claw. These are permanent and without the appropriate Genome mapped out it can not be reversed. There is also the chance that with the Qi fundamentally changed on top of the DNA mutation it may be impossible. Temporary changes back to 'normalcy' but eventually the mutation may return.

Some people become a much more irritable person, others seem to seek out conflict as a form of entertainment. Reports even suggest some people become reclusive or shy. [REDACTED] in the event of certain changes some have reported fire Qi users suddenly gaining active camouflage or someone capable of enhancing their strength suddenly able to put levitate objects with their mind. "After being captured [REDACTED] has shown signs of some sort of mind alterations of thought, or even will power. However they have had their very DNA adjusted for certain situations. Able to bring these augmentations forward like new muscles. Bone's growing on the skin feeling like leather, yet harder than most metals. Using biological heat, electro conductivity, etcetera.

Most alarming is [REDACTED]. It has developed some way of taking enzymes from the body, bacteria and other such things and inject it through nails, teeth... Transferring it's own powers to a decided host. There is no telling how wide spread this could be, how long it's been going on. With [REDACTED] the Qi flow within these bacteria assimilates perfectly with the host however shows. [REDACTED] as symptoms or side effects. More research required."

"It's been difficult with this research. I've been talking with these monks for a little over a year now. Lin is still barely holding onto life, and the monks are confusing. Talking about an inner energy, philosophy, and blood. Is it our blood, or is it a broader term? Qi, Chi, Ki, Chakra, Energy, Life Force.... Just this morning I watched a monk move his hand towards a board and his hand vibrated strangely. My equipment caught heat... Here in the mountains ranging one hundred and sixty degrees... Then hot air flew forward and snapped the board in two.

They have offered training in breathing and meditating techniques, but it makes no sense. How can breathing do this? How do the monks heal people so accurately with heat waves from their hand. I'm a botanist, and plants interact on a level some would call supernatural, but there is an explanation. Yet the Grand Master has said all life has this power and can be effected by it... If I can somehow infuse their ability to heal into a plant, I can cure Lin. But this sounds like an infection... I still can't explain the feint glow the monks blood has. The ones who have allowed me to take samples didn't give much, so these precious samples will be used to marry my botany and their power."

Arianna would find LS to be more of a gathering of side notes, that had 10 files. ZA was a diary of events dating as far back as 30 years ago. However SB was restricted, redacted, password locked, and classified.

Arianna checks out the gathering of notes from LS.

She could still appreciate some good research.

Most of the notes deal with philosophy and the corruption of power, where we are from, how old Qi possibly is, findings or research into ancient history, and finally notes on personal tests.

She checks out the how old qi might be section, with a note to later peek into personal tests, just in case.

"Looking into the oldest family that survived with Qi, their history goes back fourteen hundred years or so. Recorded events of Qi, even marriages and breeding as a political choice to produce certain Qi results. Which only confirms my theory about more than just my bloodline having a Qi passed down through generations. But that begs the question... How old is this power? Fables, story books, gods, heroes... Could they just be people that had Qi? Could holy religions be based on this super natural ability that has become common place in our world? That would mean Qi is... possibly hundred or so thousand years old, at least in use... What I would give to see The Awakening from the beginning."
