Seriously? Smug? (Leon)

The arrangments had been made, and as annoying as it was he wanted to see Leon and didn't want to wait until he was let out of jail... again.  The lack of restraint on his part was problematic.  And if he was, to be honest, he was not a huge fan of the setting.  Jails and confinement were not exactly his cup of tea. 

For once he didn't need anything from Leon, this was purely a social call.  Mostly to be smarmy about the smug face comments.  Cause Leon was a dick, but they'd been through a lot over the years.  And if they didn't stick together, then that meant everything that had happened over the years meant nothing.  And it would mean he had nothing.

So Eric sat in the visitor area, a nametag pinned to his chest with a frown on his face.  Leon needed to learn restraint.  He'd let out a sigh as he shoved his hands in his pockets, his hand brushing against the stone Dragon and sending a little bit of his energy into it.  A comforting action at this point.

[Leon]

Leon would come wandering out into the visiting area wearing the prison garb. Pants and his top unbuttoned, no shoes, so all the scars on display since he could be hiding something the guards have learned to keep him at minimum garb, though they allowed him the bandages and cast on his left arm from Damiens attack. Leon was eating trail mix out of a paper bag as he wandered over to where Eric was.

"Yo."

He would grin and look around.

"Good battle."

"I hadn't expected you to jump in like you had."

He looked around before walking up to him.

"Though I suppose I should have."

Leon would shrug, and wince forgetting momentarily about the arm.

"Honestly only showed up to fuck with everyone, Damien was the one who attacked me. Besides that, the fuck is the other Blaze brother even doing around here?"

[Mathew Amtrum]

"That I couldn't tell you. The Barrial girl is here too."

He hadn't been expecting that. It was a possible complication...

"Yeah, got the report from Odin the other day."

He frowned and waved to the chairs. He'd walk over and sit so they could talk.

"I wonder if the unrest with the Cabal and Dragon merger is finally bothering people enough to action. That could muddle our goals."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"I could put off my own investigation and go and speak to the God's if you would like."

Not like they would stop being dead. And if Vespyr was still at her old High School haunting grounds, that is not likely to change suddenly. It had already been twenty years. Either way, he would take the seat across from Leon.

"I could bring my partner, though that could also complicate things. Move things too quickly."

[Leon]

"I was honestly thinking of sending John, but you wouldn't be a bad option. Your partner may want to go anyways, maybe have the Gods give her some fresh limbs."

He'd tap his leg with a smile.

"What do you mean move things too quickly, though? From what I hear Blaze is trying to push her harder than the rest of us. What kind of shit is a two week deadline?"

[Mathew Amtrum]

"A stupid one meant to pressure her into acting rashly. It leaves her two options. Quit, or do something stupid."

He'd tried to give her a smart path to regaining what she had lost, and more. But it was a process. Most people were not as quick as he was with learning how to master Qi theory.

"I could probably get her limbs from the Gods, though I will have to deal with Hector or Karen to keep my private matters private."

He still wasn't sure who he could trust. But based on the virtue of who they were, he couldn't hide the truth from them. He had little choice but to trust them.

[Leon]

"Right, I should be able to put in for at least light duty to give her more time. If you think she needs it."

He'd pop in some more trail mix then offer some to Eric.

"Hector had been hard to... Dissuade on these affairs and has sent a million and a half requests to see you anyways."

[Mathew Amtrum]

He clicked his tongue.

"So much for subtlety."

But he couldn't blame him he supposed. Hector was probably worried about what he had planned, which was fair. He didn't want to be talked out of it though. He wanted blood.

"I started her on a path, it will take time I think. She is very new to the concepts. But there is a lot to teach, and she might be able to learn. She has proven to be stubborn enough at least. Stupid to rush in like she did, but stubborn. I can respect what she tried to do."

[Leon]

Leon would nod, thinking back to the rooftop.

"Yeah she doesn't seem to have a strong grasp on Qi concepts. Shows a willingness to learn though. Not a common quality in the human race."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Does she? I felt like she was quite reluctant. But too stubborn to just quit."

[Leon]

"She was receptive yesterday at least. I was meditating and someone's Qi spiked dramatically and rapidly in the infirmary and I went to check it out. She had somehow unwittingly tapped into her Qi, moving herself; hospital bed and all, to the roof. I asked what happened, she asked what happened... Confusion all around. She said she was meditating too, go figure. I offered her a fast and dangerous route through her own mind using the Seikatsugan, and she grasped the concept rather quickly. I didn't have to say much. Not like the old days where I literally had to hold their hands sometimes."

Leon would chew some more mix.

Eric just frowned at that.
