"Your body. A husk with no memory and no emotion whose only drive is to have a soul again. A bastardized version of a heart sword that rips hearts from others to consume, to evolve. However no heart will save it until it has it's own. Meanwhile it will create many husks like it's self."

[Preston Salabim]

He'd jot that down.

"And why are you offering us this choice? This seems like a good way to lose soldiers before our battle with Prota."

75% chance of something terrible happening. It hardly seemed worth it from the information they had.

[Bailey Oleander]

At first, the risk seemed plausible. Here, they were best ready to defend against it, especially if Asiv was willing to just do this before Prota returned to the active front of their lives. Or would they assuming something else.

She jotted down a few notes of her own, waiting for the answer and deciding that, unless something remarkable made this worthwhile, she would would be passing when the time came. Regardless of wanting to be stronger, it wasn't just her own soul on the line if she did this.

Perhaps Asiv's response would suggest a reason to change her mind.

[Stevie-Rae]

Stevie relaxed into her chair.

“So, 75% chance of completely going asunder. Huh. Yeah sure why not?”

She shrugged. Screw it.

[Zack Asiv]

"All of you from the examination are on the list of those with strong hearts. You are the most likely to succeed in this... Besides that we are pressured for time. Running low on options. We do battle with these huge forces and lose hundreds of soldiers, we enter this exam and lose soldiers, we deal with these forces working against us and we lose soldiers. Desperation is likely not the reason you seek, but it is the reason I can give you."

Asiv would close his eyes and shake his head.

"Even if only six of you agree and it works we will be far more ready for the years to come."

[Preston Salabim]

"I see. I will have to turn it down myself. I can not risk the trust my people have placed in me as a Cleric on a 25% gamble."

He would let the others do as they wished, however.

[Melanie Ross]

Melanie would make her way to the classroom and open the door. Muttering a quiet ‘sorry’ she would hastily make her way to a seat near Krane.

“What’s going in?”

She’d whisper at him.

[Blake Oleander]

In Blake's head if he succeeded he'd have more power to defend his people. If he died he knew Bailey would bring him back. He knew she could do that if she acted quickly. If his heart summoned something evil, such as the beast within he'd kill it. And if he became a husk seeking his own heart. Well, he'd get his heart back.

"I'm in."

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey shook her head at the explanation, taking final notes. She knew Blake would go all in undeterred, but with more than one soul in her own body, there wasn't a risk that would make this worth it.

"I will also be declining."

[Caelan Xander]

"I am willing to try it."

[Allison Kazim]

Ali nodded and remained firm in her decision.  She brushed her hair from her face and flicked it over her shoulder.

"I see no reason to change my mind."

Here's hoping she can pull one like you did, Michael.  Whatever that might mean for here. 

She tried not to think about the fact she may just have prayed for the first time in her life and probably the most unintentional.

[Tina Bennet]

"Let's do this!" Tina is down to the point I can't even.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Twenty bucks says I die."

He'd smirk.

"May as well, it might be your only chance to kill me Zack."

[Rozalin Kendal]

"I double that with Asiv's hope getting destroyed." Roz held up a twenty, smirking at the older man and adding to Mathew's bet. Not because of Mathew, who she finally was getting to see as himself instead of Eric. But because she could technically be free of all this and tell the man who ran the place that tried to be her superior to fuck off <3.

She nodded, however, after a moment. The risk would be worth it. She would't need a blade in her heart to grow stronger or more powerful, but she couldn't deny the curiosity that came with it.

"Count me in."

John would hop up from his seat clenching his fists and his eyes wide.

"Let's just get this over with old man!"
