"Wrong. Say it RIGHT. With Enunciation!"

How could someone be this poorly raised. Sheesh.

Roz glares at him, each word - no, each syllable - drawn out in agonizing slowness and a loud volume. As if she could stab him with it.

But she gets it right.

[Sir Galahad]

"Good. Next sentence."

[Rozalin Kendal]

She does the next one, annunciation right except for a word: epitome.

She has to sound it out and it still comes out as "eh-pih-tome."

[Sir Galahad]

"E-pit-o-me. Epitome. That is how you pronounce that word."

[Rozalin Kendal]

"Eh-pit-oh-me." She blinked twice as though she'd found something disturbing, or disgusting. She's heard the word a couple times in passing at best. Now the spelling is just weird.

She keeps reading!

He has her reading for a couple hours, correcting her when she is wrong. Assisting her in understanding words she didn't know, and over all just taught her how to speak Proper.

Roz is more than done after a couple of hours, though it's admittedly the best time she's had with her tutor so far! Becing helpful - snide and a pain in the ass, but helpful.

She pushes the book she just finished reading from aside, feeling like a drained barrel of ale and wondering what comes next!

[Sir Galahad]

The man would take a seat at the table clapping his hands. Servants would come delivering hot tea and some delightful little cakes.

"You did well. We can take a quick intermission."

He would say as he prepared his tea.

She wasn't sure if it was a sarcastic response to her reading or to summon the servants, but Roz assumes it's the former. Still, the break was welcome. And probably a test.

"That sounds a--delightful." She takes a cake and lets the tea seep extra flavor, taking a moment to relish the sweet taste of victory and close her eyes at the taste of food that isn't rations. It's been a few months at this point, but it is still the best thing ever.

She takes the moment of chewing with her mouth closed to try and remember this man's name.

Try as she might she would not remember his name as she never asked him for his name to begin with!

An excellent etiquette teacher, not even introducing himself! It's a wonderful example for Roz.

"And when do I get o learn the name of my esteemed tutor?" she asks dryly.

[Sir Galahad]

The man sets his tea down.

"Ah, so you finally found your manners have you. Good thing you remembered to ask. I would've failed you for the entire day for not asking."

The man would stand up and present himself regally.

"I am Jean Luc Francisco. You may address me as sir, or Instructor. Now in a proper setting. You should introduce yourself first and then request the name of the person you have addressed. In a setting where it is one on one as it is today. However, if you are in a group you will either be introduced or instructed to be introduced."

Her eyes narrow at the notion of failing, but she lets Francisco introduce himself without interrupting.

"And how does that work on a one-on-one? The lower class to the high, or am I just that special?" She raised a brow, already expecting to be told that anyone else would be of higher class than her and they would deign whether they wanted to go first or not. Did they shake hands like normal people or was she going to want to just jump off the balcony?

She was correct.

"If someone of a higher class approaches you for conversation, it is polite to speak your name and request theres. It is then their option to introduce themselves to you or not. Oh, and yes. You are a special case."
