[Gunslinger]

"My guns don't shoot unless I pull the trigger. They need me as much as your sword needs you. They don't just aim themselves."

Daniel snorts.

"You sound like you need that helmet just to walk around. You know, in case you walk into walls."

He gives a little snicker.

[Novocaine]

"Yeah, honestly, that all just sounded like excuses to me." Nova would cock a hip and cross her arms.

[Donovan]

"I earned the helmet. And the blade is all I have left of whatever family I had before Vindicta warriors killed them for being weak. I was taken and was raised strong. I keep the sword to remind me what weakness brings."

He would point at Daniel's guns.

"Just as I'm sure you keep those to comfort you. Like a child that needs light to sleep at night."

[Gunslinger]

"Do you even listen to yourself?"

Daniel shakes his head.

"You talk about keeping things that you've earned, and that they remind you of things, then you just assume that these guns are so much different. I swear, you just hate me because you know I could kick your ass."

[Novocaine]

Nova laughs and shakes her head.

"Besides. For someone who talks like they cast away any ties to Vindicta with his whole "fuck them" speech, you seem to care a lot about their ideals."

[Donovan]

"As if you could."

Donovan would retort to Daniel. Then to Xayah.


"They cast me aside. I didn't cast them aside. When I say fuck them, and I won't tell them shit. What it mean in legitimacy is that even if I attempted to tell them no one would listen so I see no point. In bothering. Let them face the hell of their own making."

[Gunslinger]

"Without breaking a sweat."

Daniel reiterates.

[Novocaine]

"The way I see it, Power is Strength. Qi is a power people are born with, no different than an arm or a leg. Why shouldn't someone use it? If you're so strong without Qi, why are you crying about someone else using it?"

She gives a shrug.

"I don't cry because someone has a reach advantage when they're taller than me. I adapt. Same with Qi and no Qi. If you can't adapt, that's your own weakness. If you have to outcast someone who can do something you can't, that's also a sign of your own weakness and inability to adapt. Pathetic, really."

[Donovan]

Back to ignoring the pretty boy imbecile. Quite obviously as he shifts his body to face only Xayah.

"That... makes sense... There have been many times that I've had to overcome sheer strength with some strategy. Like the day I got this helmet. I kill two bare handed despite the years of experience they had as well as the superior weaponry and armor. But they weren't smart so it was easy to kill them by making them believe I was weak and not worth their full effort or attention..."

Could what this girl be saying be true. Were they just making him an outcast out of fear and jealousy? Were those who he considered great and powerful really weak and pathetic in comparison?

"You make a fair point Xayah... It... isn't something I had considered before to be sure."

[Gunslinger]

Daniel aims at Donovan's back, as if deciding whether he should.

Then holsters his guns with a shrug.

[Novocaine]

Nova just smiles at Daniel before nodding to Donovan.

"Sparring and fair fights are fine. That's what we came here for, too, actually. That said, there's more to winning a fight than just being strong. Daniel doesn't have a power, so he makes up for that handicap by utilizing precision and distance. It's a strategy AND a skill since hitting someone from far isn't that simple. Not everyone's cup of tea, sure. If you like pummeling people and overpowering them that way, that's valid. But so is winning because you're smart."

She points a finger gun at him.

"Like what you did. Feigning weakness to surprise them with strength. Some would say that's as underhanded as using a weapon. Others would say that's just strategy."

[Donovan]

"I... see your point. However, I personally still think that Daniel is the luckier one to be born with out powers... I'm stuck with mine, and I can't control it. So, if it should ever activate... I won't know what has happened until after whatever happens is done."

He would say as he had a flash back to the man he had beaten brutally the very first time his Qi was ever activated.

[Gunslinger]

“Sounds like you just haven’t figured out how to control it yet.”

Daniel shrugs again.

[Novocaine]

"Can't learn to control it unless you use it."

[Donovan]

Donovan was confused now.
