I'ma Punch You In The Face (Nova, GM)

[Donovan]

"Urgh!"

Donovan grunted with the kick. But he'd attempt to grab Daniel's leg with his free hand and slam the hilt of his sword onto Daniel's shin!

[Gunslinger]

Going toe-to-toe with this guy was not going to work. Especially if Daniel wanted to be able to still move.

As such, he turns as best he can, flopping onto his back and kicking out with his other leg to try and intercept Donovan's hilt-slam. Successful or not, at this range, it was hard to miss, and Daniel fires with both guns at Donovan's chest, looking to at least knock him backwards and open up some distance.

[Donovan]

Daniel was able to free himself! However Donovan would rush to put his arms up to catch the bullets. This would succeed in catching the bullets on his arms... however, in the rush to defend himself... the was a cut on his arm from his own sword. Even as the blood started to run down his arm a black mist started to appear around him. Traveling his body like smokey shadowy tendrils. Donovan would let out an roar of rage and charge at Daniel! Swinging another massive punch!

Zero Ability/First Gift: When Donovan takes damage that causes him to bleed a black mist flows around his body and his muscles become more refined and he has an increase in strength (and rage) +26 Atk

Daniel looks very... very alarmed at the fact there's smoke coming out of Donovan, as well as the newfound strength coming from it.

So alarmed, in fact, that he tries to throw himself back as the punch is thrown.

Tries, as he's struck regardless, sending him sailing onto his back!

Daniel slowly starts to get up, wiping his jaw with the back of his hand while keeping an eye on Donovan, wary of him pressing the attack.

[Donovan]

And press the attack he did! This time with a heavy downward slice of his sword as he roared again at Daniel!

This time, Daniel is slightly more prepared.

He whips both guns up to fire at Donovan's sword, aiming to knock it back!

The sword went flying out of Donovan's hands and Donovan went falling forward. Catching himself on his knee he would pause there for a moment. A hand coming up to the side of his helmet.

"Ah, uh, er... Shit."

He would say as he noticed the cut on his arm.

"SHIT!"

He would get up and look carefully for Daniel and Xayah.

"I didn't kill either of you did I?!"

[Gunslinger]

Both guns are still trained on Donovan, but at the sudden change in demeanor...

Daniel lowers them.

"Still here."

[Novocaine]

Nova has her hand pressed on her cheek, head tilted into it thoughtfully.

"I'm good. So that's why they're scared of you, huh?"

[Donovan]

The smoke was now almost completely gone as it seeped back inside of Donovan.

"Once blood has been drawn. I see only red. Then, I come back to feeling weak, typically even more hurt, and disoriented. But 8/10 times I'm the victor."

[Gunslinger]

"Ah, to be in the lucky 20%."

Daniel chuckles, getting to his feet.

"That was quite the boost, though."

[Novocaine]

"It was. Is this...something your whole family can do or just you..?"

Just curious.

[Donovan]

Donovan tilted his head.

"I, don't know? I don't remember them. They were killed and I was captured at a young age."

[Gunslinger]

"So you've just been on your own this whole time?"

How depressing.

Not that Daniel would let anything like sympathy show on his face.

[Novocaine]

Unfortunate.

"And you...still want to be part of this place?" she raises a brow.
