Get in the Tank! (Daniel/Nova)

[Sir Galahad]

Both Daniel and Nova would receive a summons from Roy. They were to meet him at Strike Tower. In the lobby area.

[Gunslinger]

Daniel is there promptly!

Standing at attention the moment he arrives.

[Novocaine]

Nova arrives with him, as usual a bit looser with her posture.

[Sir Galahad]

Roy would wave at them when they came in.

"Helllllooo! So, before you kids go running off to Vindicta, I thought I might give y'all a small going away present. So, follow me."

Then he would proceed to walk down one of the hallways!

[Gunslinger]

Daniel narrows his eyes at that tone, but follows.

How....unprofessional.

[Novocaine]

“Splendid. I love presents.” Nova smiles, giving Daniel a smirk and a wink.

She still hasn’t forgotten the pie thing.

Either way she follows along.

[Sir Galahad]

They would arrive at the Enhancement and Augmentation tanks.

"Pick a Tank. And get in. Naked."

[Gunslinger]

“I...like presents...”

Daniel tried to be optimistic.

However the staring and wording of the request makes him frown.

“Can you two turn around, then?”

It’s almost a pleading question rather than a demand.

[Novocaine]

Nova just starts stripping her clothing.

“I’m not watching, go ahead.”

True to her word she’s just looking through the tanks to pick her favourite. Even if there’s literally no difference.

She ends up picking one to the left, confidently walking over to it.

[Sir Galahad]

Roy couldn't help but laugh.

"Nova. Bravo on you for not questioning orders. But there was no need to strip. I was just curious if y'all would."

He chuckled.

"Daniel, whenever you are ready you may pick a tank as well."

[Gunslinger]

Daniel's cheeks flush red, though who knows whether it's from embarrassment or the fact that Nova stripped so easily.

He heads over to the tank to the right.

[Novocaine]

She just shrugs, not at all concerned with anyone seeing her naked.

"Is it alright if I just stay nude?"

It's just a waste of time to get dressed again.

[Sir Galahad]

Roy shook his head.

"Not at all, be comfortable in the skin your in."

Roy would say giving Daniel a look that suggested he should be more like Nova. Once they were both in the tank Roy would walk over a terminal and start fiddling with the buttons and knobs.

"Sweet dreams you too."

He would say as he closed the tank doors on them. The tanks would fill up with some sort of fluid. As soon as it touched their skin they would begin to feel numb. A mask would come out and plant itself on each of their faces at which point they would be breathing in a strange smelling and tasting air. But before they could even attempt to guess what flavor they were smell-tasting they would lose consciousness as needles began to plunge into their skin.


A few hours later they would wake up, both were out of the tanks they had chosen and were now on hospital beds inside a room that was empty save for a mirror on one side of the room and a door on the other. They were both now wearing hospital scrubs. If they inspected their bodies they wouldn't see any damage or scars. Nothing that suggest anything had been done to them. However, they could both feel the power inside of them. Something aching to be released.

"Ah, you two are awake! And how are we feeling?"

They would hear a voice that sounded similar to Roy's but with a different accent. Less southern and more proper...

[Gunslinger]

Daniel is tempted to strip, but doesn't.

He doesn't want to give Roy the pleasure.

By the time Daniel wakes up and hears the voice, he struggles to sit up, frowning at how hard it is to wake up.

"I'm... I feel stronger. Sir."

Since he's not entirely sure what to address this new person as.

[Novocaine]

Nova would sit up, glancing in the mirror to see if she noted anything different about her appearance...but seemed to look the same.

Well other than the hospital gown.

She would nod at Daniel's answer to the question, too distracted to ponder the slight difference in voice than expected.

"I feel like I can hardly stop myself from using whatever this new power is."
