[Avice Locke]

Avice would speak to Preston.

"Oi, what kind of spell might that 'ave been, like a stun?" She would ask. still interested in hearing what Preston might answer She heard Cara and agreed they might have a similar idea. "The lady with the Bow might 'ave the right o' it. Aye?"

[Preston Salabim]

"A non lethal spell designed to interrupt energy flow."

He didn't want to risk hurting someone. Period.

Preston would step back and return to his desk. He would take notes. Their failures and the results can be added to his data.

[Donovan]

Donovan would pout.

"I would but that Mizrahi guy told me I'm not allowed to do any fighting until my arm heals."

He looked genuinely upset by this.

[Cain Rhamos]

"Uh huh."

Cain snorts.

"I'm sure the fact I've already outlined what I was going to do won't be a handicap at all."

He glances towards Sam.

"Hey. Give me your coat."

[Triton Augustus]

Triton answers the query with gladness!

"I confess I would have struck it with Poseidon's might, but if what you say is true, it seems that might would have befell me."

[Zack Asiv]

Adrian would stand there, watching and silently waiting, ignoring Donovan for now. Sam however was curious and would give Cain her jacket to see what he did with it.

She would also nod to the others there.

"Brute force is not always the answer, if it is your first go to thing, you will need something to fall back on, or you will fail. So for today I think we should be addressing a non-brute force strategy. The barrier used by the enemy was struck by multiple high level guards, and was very costly to even penetrate for a few seconds. You are use to no one dead."

She would walk over to everyone except Cain while he did his thing with Adrian and hand them all fist sized Qi Crystals.

"These are the prototype barrier crystals we have come up with. Take this time to inspect them and ask questions."

[Donovan]

Donovan took the crystal and looked at it a bit and stared at Adrian. How did he make this thing work? Donovan would proceed to hold the exact same way Adrian and was and fiddle with the crystal seeing if it had a button, or squeezing it in case it was activated by pressure, even mimicking the way Adrian was holding in case it was a finger placement thing!

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain takes her coat, then takes his own off. Then, after looking around at the ground a bit, he reaches down and takes a fist-sized rock, pushing it through the sleeve of his own coat and tying off the sleeve. Satisfied it’s not going anywhere; he ties the remaining sleeve with one of the ones from Sam’s.H e closes his eyes for a second, visualizing his on-the-fly strategy, before nodding and opening them.

“Alright, I’m ready.”

Holding his makeshift invention by both sleeves of Sam’s coat, he goes to leap up, appearing as though he were going to jump completely over the wall, while spinning his coat with the rock in it with one hand. The moment he clears it, however, he whips his hand forward, sending the rock-filled sleeve towards Adrian like a flail, while still keeping it from leaving his grip with his other hand.

Nocturne Gauntlet (Relic): +6 Atk, +6 Per
The Nocturne Gauntlet was once used by the Crimson King. He specialized in exploiting weaknesses, spotting soft spots and tearing them apart. When attacking with the Nocturne Gauntlet the user adds their Perception stat to their Attack stat. Can be used 5 times per thread. Otherwise the clawed finger armor is very sharp.

Force Sensitivity (UN-EVOLVED MUTATION): Your character is now sensitive to the flow of energy that makes up the universe. It can act as a danger sense, empathy check, or a guiding hand. The character must focus on the energy flow to gain any effects and the ability uses and gains UP normally.

Cara watched for a moment as Cain did his thing, fingers gliding over the crystal as she tried to feel for a trigger but expecting not to find one.

“I have a couple questions. Do these activate when the person wants it to, even if their not touching it? And what if we drain the energy it has while someone is using it?”

She tire to will it to turn on as she talks.

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia would take the crystal and start rolling it in her hand, looking to charge her Qi into it if that was possible.

Whether or not they were supposed to take turns, she apparently didn't care. They were invited to try what they thought might work...and while she didn't know if it would or not, she wanted to try something anyway.

While Cain took his leap, Kaia would throw her crystal so that it would fly towards the other one making the shield.

They said something about it absorbing Qi to stay powered. What about if two come into contact? Will they sap each other? Will it blow up? Will it do nothing? Worth the toss to find out.

[Avice Locke]

Avice accepted hers and was enchanted by its rough cut and how the sunlight showed through it. She felt like imbuing her power into it was the right call. She felt familiar with seeping her Qi into the crystals. She had experience around them even if but a little in passing while dealing with certain people and not to mention the Qi-spirit embedded in her neck.

Then there was a Flying Bloke...

[Preston Salabim]

Preston took the crystal and adjusted his glasses, mostly looking for imperfections or damage. That's where the danger would lay. Once satisfied that the quality was sufficient he would pull his Aether into himself, calmly transforming the energy in his core to be aspected to light.

"Kiron Rot".

He'd intone, letting his mana flow through the crystal and around him to activate it, but more than that he'd use the restorative abilities of the spell to help the Crystal and shield repair and sustain itself to grant it more longevity than otherwise possible. Along with some of his own insights from his research and attempt to disable the shield before, he believed he had a grasp on how it worked, and how to improve it.

"This should make the prototype more stable."

So smug.

0 Level - Rejuvenation- Holy Element - Support Archetype - Preston is able to infuse another with his Qi energy granting them another use of their Qi (Granted Qi abilities do not grant UP on use) and restores and item use.

Sean can get a lot more out of Items, Gear, or Technology than your average bear. Giving Preston a bonus to using Technology, and enhancing Item effects by 25%.

[Triton Augustus]

"Many thanks," Triton uttered as he was gifted the crystal.

Upon the glass blessing the islander gazed, his mind captured by its gleam. Before his query arose of the workings of the vessel, a mainlander requested such knowledge. Wonderful!

[Zack Asiv]

Donovan would find it was a nicely cut crystal with smooth edges!

Adrian would be watching Cain prep with some amounts of bemusement, and as he charged and leapt into the air, Kaia's crystal would make contact with the other shield, it's shield immediately turning on breaking Adrian's concentration of Cain and instead leaping for Cain to tackle him out of the air as the two shields hit each other, the energy wrapping through each other increasing over and over rapidly getting brighter!

The two crystals would pull towards each other slam into each other and explode launching Cain and Adrian a bit away from it. Though Cain would find there was no pain, from anything like the tackle or hitting the ground.

Sam would rush over and help Adrian and Cain get up if they needed it. Adrian accepted the aid and turned to look at Kaia.

"Not a bad solution."

Before he turned to look at Cain.

"The plan was inspired, and with the inadvertent team work, could have worked out."

He'd leave it at that as Sam turned to Cara.

"You charge the crystal with Qi and then are able to remote activate and deactivate it within five feet. The Qi inside if it isn't yours will not return to you if you attempt to drain it without a specific Qi ability that does so."

Avice is right!

Adrian walks over to Preston, Preston would note the Crystals Qi veins were meticulously drawn and calibrated and the crystal its self had a constant input/output vein to prevent build up even without use. Even for a prototype the attention to detail on it's purpose would even take some of the Sage crystal mage's would take a few hours to get this down.

"Let me see."

Adrian would hold a hand out for the Crystal to inspect.

[Donovan]

Donovan raised an eyebrow. As he stared at the crystal and heard all the explanations and would once again raise his hand.

"So... how does Qi work? Like... how do y'all use it?"

This question was directed at everyone present, not just the instructors.
