What makes life easier? (Open)

[Qi Yanmei]

Min just watches with wide eyes and a smile, not speaking any concerns she may be feeling about his arm flying off and punching her in the face.

"No time like the present!"

[Donovan]

"Excellent!"

He said excitedly.

"Now, first off! Get into your fighting stance!"

[Qi Yanmei]

"Umm...okay!"



"Ready!"

[Donovan]

Donovan blinked. Oooooookay... This was gonna be some work.

"May I?"

He asked motioning to grab her hands. If allowed he would ball up her fists in a way that would be safer for her to hit without hurting herself. Then he would put her in a traditional boxer stance. Her arms and fists defending her face her body hunched over to protect her mid section and her legs shoulder length apart with one foot back, to give her better control for movement and more power for striking.

"There, how does that feel?"

[Qi Yanmei]

"Weird." she admits.

"I feel like I'm hunched over from being cold."

[Donovan]

"Good, you need to feel like your protecting all your vital points."

He would stand in front of her.

"Now, if you were going to hit me, where would you hit?"

[Qi Yanmei]

"Whatever I can reach I suppose."

She looks down at his crotch area. That's always effective when it connects.

[Donovan]

He followed her eye line and laughed.

"While indeed a critical hit for the male gender, it is not so much one for the female gender, nor any male that may have undergone and operation to remove those vital parts, while rare, it is possible."

He would get into the same fighting stance now. Covering up his own vital areas, including his crotch.

"Now, where would you try to hit me?"

[Qi Yanmei]

"I see. I should consider eunuchs." she says thoughtfully, before reconsidering a hitting spot.

"I don't know." she admits. She didn't really have an eye for that stuff.

[Donovan]

Donovan tilted his head from side to side.

"I'll give you a close enough. See, if your face to face with an opponent that is well covered you want to wait look for any kind of openings you can, while making sure to keep your energy up. So, instead of hitting you would want to rotate to see of you can find an opening. Watch me, and then do as I do."

He would then demonstrate how to side step to circle an opponent!

"Now, you try."

[Qi Yanmei]

She starts shuffling her feet side-ways, more or less circling him but not quite like he had done.

"And then?"

[Donovan]

"Hmmm... we'll need to work on your foot work."

He would then stand up and put his feet back into position.

"Watch my feet, I'm going to move slowly, and one step at a time. When you think you can do it. Follow suit."

With that he would carefully, and slowly begin the side stepping maneuver again!

[Qi Yanmei]

Min would watch intently, taking some time to commit it to memory before sighing.

"I'll look weird."

As if she hasn't done a good job of being like that already.

[Donovan]

Donovan let out a long sigh as he stood back up. He would hold out his hand as of to tell her to stop.

"Hit my hand as hard as you can."

[Qi Yanmei]

She gives it a not-very-confident hit with her fist. While better than your average joe, she probably didn't measure up to most others.
