Donovan would follow Thorne and Stigma!

So this was their objective. Joy glanced briefly from the crystal to the coffins as the hairs on her arm raised up from the amoutn of energy given off in the room, but there wasn't much time to dwell on that with the boxes breaking open and two figures stepping out. Hopefully someone else would figure out the hand holds she'd made if they could reach them.

“Try me,” she snarled as the man rushed her, her monster arm forming a fist as she would slam it into his gut to use his momentum against him, his fist landing a punch on her as well, and hopefully knocking him off guard.

Thorne and Stigma are able to dispatch the remaining soldiers.

Stigma would see a long winding staircase leading upward, partially damaged but not unscaleable due to the artillery fire from before. The bottom floor seemed to have been turned into a makeshift outpost. A few cots were pushed to the side of the room, and a table with chairs was knocked over. Cards and coins littering the floor where the game had been interupted.

The side of the room had a small weapon rack with a few swords on it of varying quality. From inside the intensity of the Crystal's energy on top of the Bell Tower was intense, prickling the skin with a burning sensation, and causing nausea as waves of power tried to invade their bodies. The air seemed almost ready to come to life with electricity.

Donovan and Soni are also on the bottom floor with Thorne and Stigma!

The man's punch landed solidly on Joy, her flesh bruising quickly as a vibration from the blow entered her body, burrowing deep inside of her. (Vibration round 1)

Her own blow was powerful, sending him back into the wall, stone cracking and breaking along with something else snapping. Not bone, but part of his flesh, A small black crack forming on the back of his head.

The woman wasted no more time springing into action her blade slicing forward with incredible speed and force, shockwaves following the gleaming blade with a separate blade of wind at Joy!

Donovan cringe at the sudden nauseating feeling he got from entering this room. His guess is it was whatever weard energy that had almost blinded him earlier. He grimaced but clenched his teeth and sucked up the pain. Now wasn't the time to stop moving.

Upon noting the spiralling stairway Donovan would hastily make his way upstairs. There was a battle going on. He could feel it in his blood... and he was excited!

[Thorn Wyatt]

Thorn's skin prickles and the hair stands on end, and his eyes narrow into slits as he looks upwards, ignoring the feeling in his stomach.

"There."

He's more than eager to take any stairs he may see if he finds the same ones Stigma did, heading for the top.

[Joy]

Throwing up sounded great if it would get rid of the nausea that welled up inside her, but Joy didn't real have time for that, and letting herself get struck by one of the two people she fought wasn't on her to do list. her entire body felt like it was off after the deep punch. Grunting at the pain, she had time to see the strange crack int eh man's skin as she side-stepped the arc of of wind, seeing the man's skin crack and also footsteps from below. Hopefully the others that Cabal had sent and not reinforcements for these two.

'MORE!' The roar inside her head vibrated as much as the punch did. Red lines began to web their way across her body, pulsing bright with adrenaline in sync with her heartbeat. With a shout, Joy unleashed a chaos bolt at the woman as she charged, intending to use the claws of her monster arm to cut through the woman and tear into her.

Zero Ability: Chaos Energy: The purest form of destruction.Joy is able to fire chaos energy from herself doing 150% her energy in damage. If there are Qi defenses in the way, the chaos energy dismantles it and pierces through items, doing damage as if the target only has it's base Def stat.

Stigma would hold her head briefly at the initial feeling of nausea, but would push through it to start climbing those stairs.

Like everyone else but she saw them first so there.

[Lucifer]

Joy's claw would be met with the blade. There would be brief resistance before the blade sliced through her fingers leaving only the thumb and palm. The chaos blast struck true, however, blasting off part of the woman's side, revealing a hollow blackness within. as she was knocked back, tumbling toward the edge of the tower.

Thorne, Stigma, and Donovan would make it to the top of the tower where they would meet the man, his arms shifting into blades, swiping at Thorne as he crested the top!

Everyone on the roof could feel the power in the crystal growing as the beams continued to feed energy into it. The energy rippling and becoming unstable as dark purple clouds began to form in the sky!

[Joy]

Joy's cry of rage turned to one of pain as her fingers fell away, useless bloody stubs on the ground. But she didn't have time to think on it overmuch. The voice screaming inside her head was almost as painful as the wound she carried.

'KILL HER OR I WILL.' She almost agreed with the beast within, blood trickling down her near stump of an arm as she grabbed at the coffin lid with her free hand for the closest one, intending to rip it off its hinges and send the woman flying off of the tower to the ground below!

"No." Pain seared through her arm as it hung at her side, her normal hand lifting with ethe strength needed. If able to get the coffin lid free, she would use it like a makeshift shield bash, using the increased speed as she felt the power of her second form beginning to drain away!

She doesn't notice the mysterious dark cloud!

With the man distracted by attacking Thorn Donovan leaps into the air focusing on his powers remembering what he learned in class... then he would deliver a mighty downward sword strike! His aim to cleave the man in half!

Zero Ability/First Gift (Upgraded): When Donovan takes damage that causes him to bleed a black mist flows around his body and his muscles become more refined and he has an increase in strength and Defense (and rage) +20 Atk +12 Def

Thorn goes to duck underneath the swiping, somersaulting to the left to open up a new avenue to attack from.

If the man isn't cut in half by Donovan, Thorn will go to slam his fist into the blade-wielder's floating rib on his right side.

Stigma just keeps going until she reaches the top, unconcerned with any follow-up attacks this way.

Since the boys are fighting already, and it seems there's another fight a bit further, Stigma takes this opportunity to try and figure out where the beams are coming from and feeding into the crystal. If it's something that can be destroyed even.

[Soni Vox]

Nausea, a tiny weak body, and damaged stairs made for quite the speed bump to slow the girl, but Soni finally conquered the trial. 

Lifting her heavily breathing head, Soni saw before her a battle between several characters, but no one going for the main goal: the crystal. 

Okay, she thought to herself as she took a deep, courage-mustering breath. I cant back down now.

While everyone was distracted by the fight, Soni half crawled, half jogged to the crystal, her body being disturbed and unsettled by the amount of energy spewing from it. The unseen wave seemed to move her organs around inside her body, the nausea and burning increasing a little more. Okay, not a fan, she thought further. But she had to keep going. 

As an extra defense, the girl wrapped around her head and torso a wall of sound, in order to divert the energy away from her, in theory. 

With all her strength, she pushed her hand out to touch the crystal, her whole hand spread across its surface to feel its frequency. Focusing on the energy and frequency it radiated, she closed her eyes and held down her lunch.

Joy is able to shield bash the woman off of the tower before she can pick herself up!

Stigma is able to see that the energy itself was coming from the coffins! The energy from the coffins is similar to that of the crystal but far more stable.

Soni is able to reach the crystal, the sonic tornado around her repelling much of the violent energy protecting her from the side effects for the moment. However, upon bringing the large crystal within the cyclone, it would start to crack as she placed her hand upon it. Energy leaking out and being redirected upward by Soni's cyclone as the cracks spread rapidly over its surface before it shattered with an explosion of energy. Everyone on the tower would be blown away along with most of the tower itself and the surrounding area in a five hundred foot radius.

The man brought his arm blades up to block Donovan's slash leaving his torso exposed for Thorne. The man's torso shifting and sharpening into a blade to meet Thorne's attack however in defense! A blade forming on his knee that would start to slams toward Thorne's own torso before the explosion blew him and everyone off of the tower to the side with violent force. Energy erupting and crackling through the sky as the dark purple clouds stopped spreading, but remained in place

The group would find themselves buried in rubble, their bodies battered and badly injured but alive. The bell tower was no more, however dark clouds now hung over the entire village. A sense of power infecting the air, those that took their studies seriously would recognize this as the beginning stages of the formation of a Qi scar, a process that would solidify and form over the next few hours to days.

The Blight of Blackwater: Dark violet clouds eternally hang over the ruins of what was once the town of Blackwater. Spectral echoes replay the last hour of the town's existence in an eternal tragic repetition of history. This spectral images can not hear, see, or touch the real world, phased out of sync with time, always doomed to fail their attempts to stop their fate. Worse is the air of Blackwater has become thick with a plague that transmits through Qi use, resting dormant in its carriers for up to weeks before symptoms manifest. Transmitted by the use of Qi to those around them, and the Qi saturated air of the town itself the plague begins with a high fever followed by delusions and paranoia. Those with weak wills unable to break past the delusions often die as they burn themselves up with oversaturation of their own Qi, leaving contaminated husks ready to infect those nearby if not handled properly.
