Blackwarer: Bell Tower

[Lucifer]

After the FOB was set up a large team was assembled to take back and secure the area from the invading soldiers. Split into their objectives of securing vital points this team was tasked with securing the Bell Tower. Strange energy was erupting from the tower and it was under heavy guard. They can see at the base of the tower bags and makeshift barricades with soldiers guarding the entrance.the energy seems to be coming from the top of the tower however and each passing moment sees it growing stronger and brighter.

[Donovan]

"Hmmm..."

Donovan stared at the Tower.

"This looks, no. This FEELS dangerous..."

He would say as even he could feel the pulsing power of the Tower.

[Thorn Wyatt]

Thorn stands with the others, looking up at the tower with mild curiosity.

He glances around to see if there's any side entrances aside from the main one, which is so obviously heavily guarded.

[Stigma Wyatt]

"We either need an alternate route inside, or we somehow have to draw the soldiers away." Stigma thought out loud.

Other ideas were of course welcome.

[Cynic]

Cynic would look at the others.

"Leave the distraction to me."

He would sneak away to try and get within twenty feet of the guards, where he would exhale his noxious gas moving his mask to the side blowing it towards them to see it's effects. Even if he were spotted he would be doing this.



Poisonous Breath Blast - Cynic takes in a deep inhale before directionally blowing a wave of poisonous gas in a cone in front of him that does 50% his energy plus his attack in damage for 2 posts, and lowers the targets Def/Per by 1/4th Cynic's energy stat for 2 posts.

[Joy]

Joy would nod in silent agreement to Stigma's declaration, eyes narrowing as she watching the blonde do his thing.

She'd wait to see if it worked, first, arms folded over her chest.

[Soni Vox]

Soni stood there with all of them, quite silent due to her lack of ideas. She really had no idea what she was doing. Part of her felt bad for not speaking up, as if she wasn't being brave enough. But, in truth, she had 0 battle experience. So she stood in her hope that these guys did.

This blonde guy was quite the enthusiast though.

[Lucifer]

Thorne could see what looked like it might be a side entrance that was unguarded, but it appeared to be barricaded. He could go over there and check it out however if he wanted! (Roll a D20 + Perception if you do)

Cynic is able to get within range and send some gas at the soldiers. A few of which start to wretch and throw up. However he is spotted! Soldiers start closing in on him while one of them fires a lightning bolt at him!

(Roll a d20 + speed to dodge the bolt. Must beat a 33)

Everyone else who waited and watched sees this happen!

Thorn does, heading straight for that entrance to take a look!

Maybe he's covered by Cynic's distraction, maybe not.

Donovan's helmet materializes on his head and he begins to scan the Tower!

Stigma would round her way towards the front entrance, looking to take a path that had the lowest concentration of guards.

One way or another, most of them were probably focused on Cynic now.

[Joy]

Looks like the distraction was good enough for now. Joy would head towards the front entrance as well, taking the quickest route possible.

[Cynic]

Cynic rolls from his spot and darts to the side holding his free left hand out as he dodges the bolt of lighting (39 on the roll) to fire a stream of fire at the guards, trying to get them to give chase and not look at the others! Trying to cover their vision with fire and smoke!

John's Zero Ability - Flame Thrower: John can fire a vortex of flames from his hands adding half his energy stat to his energy stat.

[Soni Vox]

Soni, not really sure of where to go or what to do, stepped forward to stand beside this guy that just made a helmet somehow. It looked like he was just standing there.

"Are you just standing there, or are you planning or something?"

[Lucifer]

Thorn sees that there is a door that is barricaded and blocked off. There don't seem to be guards at it but thanks to his keen perception he does spot some cleverly hidden bear traps. Obviously a supplementary security measure to go with the barricade.

Most of the guards are focused on Cynic but there are still several that are guarding the door when Joy and Stigma approach! One of them fires a lightning bolt for Stigma while the other one has an ax materialize in his hand swinging it for Joy!

(Stigma roll a D20 + speed to dodge the bolt. Need a 33 to pass)
(Joy roll a D20 + Defense to Block the Ax or Speed to dodge. Need a 33 to pass)

Cynic is able to take out one of the guards with his fire blast but a spear is coming for his back. The only warning he is given is the sound of a portal opening up behind him! (Roll a D20 + Perception to notice the sound in time DC 33)

Donovan is nearly blinded by the intensity of the energy that he is reading. The top of the Bell Tower is like looking into the sun, and the energy is spreading out from the tower through the sky! It's influence growing wider every second. (-5 Perception for 5 posts from the brightness of the energy.)

Nothing stops Soni from talking to Donovan!
