He clicked his tongue. "I don't got all day boy." Slamming his foot in to the ground a pillar of Earth erupted rushing right for Cain!

"I can feel that!" Cain snaps out, throwing his shield behind him as he skids to change direction. It wouldn't stop the pillar, but the intention was more to slow it down so he had time to dodge out of the way. With his sudden change in direction, Cain closes his eyes, feeling the flow of battle to aim his sword at the most vulnerable area Ares had. He knew the blade would shatter afterwards, but that didn't matter. He was completely lost in the moment, riding the flow of the fight into what he felt was the best option. Hit as hard as he could before War struck him back. ------------
Cain: Title: Savior of the People
Once a thread Cain can feel the power of the people on his side, this gives him a temporary boost of +5 in every stat for 2 posts. (If this power is activated to protect someone it gives a +10 instead)
Nocturne Gauntlet (Relic): +6 Atk, +6 Per
The Nocturne Gauntlet was once used by the Crimson King. He specialized in exploiting weaknesses, spotting soft spots and tearing them apart. When attacking with the Nocturne Gauntlet the user adds their Perception stat to their Attack stat. Can be used 5 times per thread. Otherwise the clawed finger armor is very sharp. 3/5
Blackwater Boots +6 Spd +9 Atk
These boots were also specially made by that rare Blackwater Leather and are the only pair known to still exist. For every consecutive post that Cain is running he gets a +5 boost to Spd, when Cain stops running he gets to add the momentum to his next attack (all built up +5's move to Atk for one attack) (+10), gone after this post

Force Sensitivity (UN-EVOLVED MUTATION): Your character is now sensitive to the flow of energy that makes up the universe. It can act as a danger sense, empathy check, or a guiding hand. The character must focus on the energy flow to gain any effects and the ability uses and gains UP normally. All of Cain's instincts were telling him that he was beyond out matched, that there was no weakness on Ares that he was capable of exploiting as he was. The man was a God, a Dragon, and the essence of war. This was a hopeless battle as it was, and winning it was not an option. But maybe, just maybe he didn't need to win it. It was an inkling, but the blade instead of flying toward Mathew flew to the ground between them as he slid under the pillar. The sword broke with a thunderous crack, and then the ground began to rumble. The large platform that they stood on began to split, cracking and breaking where the sword had struck. The arena rumbled, and the floor that Mathew stood on shifted downward toward the lava while Cain's remained in place for now.
Mathew had to shift his footing to avoid falling and slipping as he smirked at Cain, slowly he would start to swing his mace.

Cain looks on from where the floor had cracked, and it fills him with new inspiration. At first, he had intended on simply fighting and doing what damage he could. Now, his imagination was running while. Cain can destroy this Mace to deal an attack with it that deals 1,000 damage!
Mathew swings his mace, the macehead extending outward to slam into the surface of the raised platform that Cain was on. Various Cain spectors begin to manifest around him, all armed with different weapons! He is surrounded on all sides by four of them!
Number 1 has a spear!
Number 2 has a sword!
Number 3 has a Sword!
Number 4 has a great bow!

With a primal yell, Cain sprints straight towards Ares' mace, swiping at whichever specter would be in the way not so much to destroy it but to clear a path. He intends on planting his foot on the mace itself before leaping into the air, high as he can! While he has no doubt that the God of War can lift it with Cain's added bodyweight, he's intending on just slowing it down even for half a second. On his way down, Cain swings as hard as he can for the floor itself on Ares' side of the crack, aiming on pushing it further downwards. -----------------

Cain slashed though one version of himself as it plunged it's blade into his left shoulder, shattering the blade. He is more than able to leap into the air off of the mace, the version of Cain with the bow firing a shot at him as he fell toward Mathew, the arrow piercing through his right shoulder.
Ares' metallic hand shot up to catch the Mace and the boy that would be a God in his grip. The ground-shaking under them from the impact while his grip tightened on the weapon, the metal of the flawed metal starting to crack.
"Do you hear that? The sound of your dreams breaking."
Sword damage doubled 200
Arrow damage doubled 200

Cain howls in pain from both blows to each of his shoulders, and he hangs onto the mace gingerly.
"You...think so?"
He forces himself to smile.
"I think it sounds like your imminent despair."
Cain suddenly leaps up to kick his feet into Ares' chest, not so much for damage, but to throw himself backwards and away from the God of War. For two reasons, mostly. One, to hopefully not get struck by him personally.
And two, to get some distance from the now-to-explode mace.
He was sure the mace itself wouldn't win the fight directly, but the sudden explosion would be perfect to widen this crack in the floor, and possibly break the arena in half.

Cain was able to get some distance from Mathew, kicking off of his breastplate and granted cover by the blast of energy of the mace exploding in Ares' grip. The ground cracked harder, the arena slanting down to the magma below on Mathew's side quite steeply.
The specters of War given form were not idle however/ The one with the blade still standing rushed at Cain, the blade igniting with flame as he swung at him. The one wielding the spear thrust for his legs looking to trip him up and set up the fire blade's blow. While the one with the bow was reloading another shot!
All while Ares himself emerged from the smoke of the explosion, a smirk plastered on his face as he jumped up off of the breaking part of the arena, cracking his neck.
"Nice trick. Think you can do it again?"

Fuck.
As much as he wants to lament over his failed plan, Cain is far more busy trying to keep himself from being skewered and sliced in half. He throws himself backwards, leaping away from both the thrust and the slash, while trying to head for another weapon rack.
At least with a weapon, he had a chance. Without one, he was handicapped more than ever.

The spear grazes across the inside of Cain's thigh, slicing through clothing and flesh, but thankfully missing any valuable targets. The blade misses its mark as Cain scrambles for the closest weapon rack. Another arrow whizzing through the air this time piercing his left leg, a clean blow through the muscle penetrating through the leg.
Cain grabbed a mace, and immediately his body began to float upward off of the platform, just as Mathew stomped his foot sending a wave of spikes where Cain had been a moment before the mace helped him fly.
Oh no, we are so fucked. We are going to die. I don't want to be destroyed. He is going to kill us both. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO THAT IS!? Oh no, if he touches me I'm toast. DON'T MAKE ME TOUCH HIM!!!
Cain's head would fill with the screams of the mace in his hands. While Mathew folded his arms, watching from down below.
"Running away now?"

Cain has cowardly Sharur!
Sharur, a mace from Sumerian Legend allows it's wielder to fly without aid! It has intelligence and is said to impart vital intelligence upon its wielder, but this one hasn't been battle-hardened and is quite cowardly and prone to panic.

Cain groans, barely holding on to the mace as it lifts upwards. He's never had an inanimate object talk to him, but given the events of this fight, he's not... too surprised.
"Stay right there, I got something for you."
Stop running! We don't need to hit him. Just the platform. We take that out, he drops in the lava. Since you're flying, we win. Get it?
Cain keeps his eyes on the archer, as it's most likely the one who would try to hit him next.

The two with the sword and shield paced around on the platform waiting for Cain to get within range. The one with the bow was knocking another arrow.
Nononononononono. It's not going to work. This is Ares we are talking about. THE Ares. You don't beat a War God in a fight. It's more likely I end up melted and turned into a kettle!
