Exploring Options (Nova/Daniel/Leif)

[Leif Adamson]

Leif stared at Daniel for a moment, her gaze seeming to shutter slightly.

"I guess not," she murmured, turning her gaze down to her water. She gave a shrug and took a drink.

[Gunslinger]

"I'm asking because there's some things that can't be fixed. Not unless you invent a happiness machine."

Daniel shrugs.

"It's nothing to feel bad about."

[Novocaine]

Nova would tilt her head.

"We're happy to help with whatever, but, I do need to ask if this is actually why you came here?"

[Leif Adamson]

She snickered and gave a shake of her head.

"I literally came here to see successful Metas... or people, I guess." She gave a nod towards Daniel. "You guys are kind of a legend in my book, right now. You came here and took a running start. Its impressive."

Leif gave another shrug as she sipped her water. She just wanted to be around her own people, and to see the success her people had made for themselves. Maybe it would inspire her.

[Gunslinger]

“Well, we had an advantage. We’re from Prota.”

He says it like it’s just a matter of fact.

“I’m sure you could do it too, if you tried.”

[Novocaine]

"Unless you're looking for a job." she grins.

[Leif Adamson]

Leif tilted her head to one side. She hadn't ever contemplated a job outside of the military, but it seemed like a necessity.

"What would the job... entail?"

[Gunslinger]

Daniel looks at Nova, as it's his turn to be surprised!

[Novocaine]

"That depends on two things- what you're already good at or what you'd like to learn."

[Leif Adamson]

Leif chuckled. What was she good at? Cabal's training didn't leave much room for anything that could be useful here.

"Well, if you take out all of the obvious stuff," she murmured, referring to violence, "I'm a decent cook. I probably can't compare to what you have going here, but I'm not bad... I wouldn't mind learning whatever, though. What do you need? A waitress? Because you seem to have that and the hostess thing down pat," she said with a nod to Nova.

[Gunslinger]

"Extra pair of hands wouldn't hurt..."

Daniel says thoughtfully, agreeing to the idea!

"You could work at both positions, depending. I do both, myself."

[Novocaine]

"I do most of the baking, but Daniel and I go wherever we're needed. The business is growing though, so if you want to learn more about cooking, Danny won't mind showing you. If you'd prefer to bake, we could use someone in the morning to help prepare them before opening. If you want a chance to talk to more people, you could do waitressing. If you think you could add something new to the place, that's appreciated too."

Nova would lean forward against the table.

"So, anything catch your attention?"

[Leif Adamson]

"I wouldn't mind focusing on waitressing. That gives you two the chance to also focus on what you're good at... And hey, if you're willing to teach me more about cooking on the side, I'd really appreciate that."

Leif began to idly spin her empty glass in circles, glancing between the two people.

"If I get good enough to help in the kitchen, then I can move towards that, too."

[Gunslinger]

"Works for me."

Daniel says with a shrug.

"I have no problem with having a little more help around here."

[Novocaine]

"I like ambition. You'll do great." Nova grins.

"The pay is average, most days don't have much of a rush so you'll have loads of time to get used to things here. How often you wanna come in?"
