Interview with a Dragon (invite)

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie's eyes brightened at the use of this language again. Definitely something she would have to learn, and sketch down. It didn't detract from the fact that Leon gave himself a lower score than Mathew, or that David said 50%. Those were all interesting (and informative), but...the foreign language was what drew her.

She'd learn it.

She glanced at Rai with an eyebrow raised. Did he have another question or was she free to ask another.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Mathew smirked and kept his eyes on David.

"I did say if I played my cards right."

[David B.]

David smirked back.

"Sorry brother, but Unlikely, even then. We are strong- but we are three, and he has a planet full of people to fight. Im sure there are others out there with our strength, who are fighting him. We are just one small part."

David wouldnt dilute himself into thinking Barker would be easy, or fight fair.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Perhaps."

Was all he would say. It was possible that he was underestimating Barker, but he felt that David was underestimating them as well.

"I suppose we will see when we get to that point."

He turned back to his students.

"I have a question for both of you now."

He paused.

"Define a Dragon. In your mind."

Rai heard the language of the Dragons words that held power, he would have to ask Mathew about it later and see if he would either teach it to him, if Rai had earned the right to learn it. He thought for a moment on Mathews question.

"Before today I would have said it was a group of elite fighters representing the strongest people around. Now I would say that they are strong warriors that, while not always in agreement, are always willing to put down any and all differences to stand up against a common enemy. You represent the strongest not just in your physical selves but in your hearts as well."

[Kyrie Blaze]

She let Rai answer first so she could gather her thoughts and shuffle them into order.

When he finished, she lifted her gaze and opened her eyes.

"A Dragon is not just strength, though it is a core component in the whole picture. A Dragon carries his or her honour, always, never hesitating in the face of battle, using will, motivation, and determination to secure victory without outright lying--misdirection is a honed art. A Dragon is wisdom, cunning, strength, and joined together in likes such as you three, relentless: an unconquerable force. Yet even a Dragon acknowledges the need for growth to keep expanding their power, ever-striving to better themselves even if it means changing an opinion in a situation despite their first impressions."

A blink, a breath, and she went a little further.

"And we, as Dragon Apprentices, represent the growth of potential. If we fail, we did not possess enough of all of these qualities to stand with you three, as one of you."

They all knew what they were doing here. And Kyrie had formed a much broader opinion than simple strength, using all she had learned from them so far for her answer.

There was so much more to them than a one-faceted outlook.

"I have one last question, for all of you, if permitted."

Mathew kept his face impassive as he listened to both of his apprentices speak and define a Dragon in their own ways. Both made good points, and both saw parts of it. Though neither of them nailed it spot on. As was expected. They were missing the true core of it. The real secret of what made a Dragon a Dragon. But that was to be expected. And if they were worthy, then they would learn it in time.

"Partial answers to both of you."

He said with a nod before Kiyr made her request.

"Ask away."

[Kyrie Blaze]

'A partial answer...'

She inclined her head.

"I will grow to learn the rest."

It was another reason she was here.

Lifting her gaze back up, she supposed, perhaps, the question would be more for David, but at the same time, she wanted permission from all three.

"I ask for permission to continue honing my own personal skillset against the Dragon members. For my own growth and theirs, on the condition that anything I take from them will be returned in the same condition it was taken from them; will you grant it?"

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Fine by me. If you can con them out of stuff it just means that they need to be less trusting and on guard more."

She had one Dragon's blessing.

[David B.]

Davids eyebrows rose before he looked over at Matt.

The bastard would take advantage of that, to be sure.

"Very well. Im fine with it."

He did, in fact say that, but with an underlying "Bring it, bitch."

[Mr. Kaar]

Leon would nod at the question after hearing everyone else's answer.

"Sure."

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai would look around with Kiyr's final question he spoke up with his last question.

"Where do babies come from?"

Mathew blushed. From sheer humiliation. The face palm he did was of such a magnitude that he sent ripples through the bromosphere. He just couldn't believe what he was hearing. And yeah. There was nothing to do. He just stood up and started to walk out.

"Not it."

[John]

John Summers was elsewhere in Gods territory building weapons. When suddenly he stops and looks to the sky.

"I sense a disturbance in the bro-force."

Leon rolled around on his platform laughing his ass off, he did however manage those words...

"I have an idea."
