We Meet Again [David/Open]

[Damien Blaze]

He nodded.

"It's a girl named Oni. She has the ability to phase through walls so...I suspect Barker's facility won't be an issue."

He looked to the door, and waited.

It wasn’t Arianna. It was, however, a middle-aged male. He seemed a bit worn, but given the hectic mess they had to deal with, the blonde was surprised he wasn’t frayed with every last hair out of place in a testament of stress.

“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting; one of the patients we thought was stable turned out to be not as much as we first thought. What happened to you?”

Kyrie sighed, briefly and softly.

“I was training with the other Mister Blaze. Abdominal contusions...probably some cracked or broken ribs...unsure about more.”

“Well, let’s take a look.”

The curtain was slid back into place by the doctor himself before anything further took place.

“I’m going to slide your shirt up.”

“Mm.”

Well. Probably an ultrasound as well.

Damien laid back and let him work, as a man in the suit followed the doctor.

"Mr. Blaze. After careful review of your case, it seems you did indeed have some mental poisoning. There is no way for us to discern whether this came from within or from the outside, but we're unfortunately not in a position to risk keeping you on board. With the death of the guard in the armory, his family would never allow it and we get that."

Damien nodded.

"I understand."

The man sighed.

"Well. Good news is, territory two has accepted the extradition. They'll be here in the morning to travel back with you."

Kyrie gave a soft grunt of discomfort as hands pressed down into her stomach, and the blonde continued to watch him through slight slits of her eyes. To say she trusted him was a slight stretch; but he was a medical professional and that did come with a measure of tolerance and acquiescence to the diagnostics and treatment.

Before she knew it he'd wheeled around a portable ultrasound unit to apply a bit of gel to scope out her insides.

The gel was...cold, but, overall, nothing she was complaining about.

So she wound up sighing, but listening with quiet intent to the conversation just on the other side of the curtain while her doctor did his job in searching for any internal bleeding. X-rays, or some type of scan for her ribs...which meant being carted out of the room. Not something she appreciated, but...well, better than the alternatives.

The men removed his cuffs, helping to stand as the young Blaze groaned. It had been a few days since he'd been out of bed. The man in the suit took Damien by the arm and the guards came in to lead him out. He looked back at Kiyr.

"It was good to see you, Kyrie. If even for a moment."

And out the doors he went.

"Take care...and get that nonsense sorted out in Two."

Unfortunately there wasn't much she could do on that front. Now...she had to get better, and get stronger, all the while turning over stones and gathering information.

Oh, and watching how David progressed without his cuffs.

"Looks like you're going to need some x-rays so we can set any broken bones, if we're able to."

"...I thought as much..."

She was in for a fun few hours.

"We're going to give you painkillers, in the mean time."

"They don't tend to metabolise well with my body. Check the file for Kyrie B...well it will either be Blaze or Barrial, depending on if your records are up to date."
