She would take one and bite into it. It was intensely fragrant and one bite was rich and nutty enough to fool her into thinking it was a bigger bite than she actually took. It might have been the best cookie she ever had. She covered her mouth with light fingers and her compliment was stopped short to answer him.
"Sorry to make you go to such lengths... But I also want to do the right thing. I would like some help, yes."

About then they would be able to hear it.
"Yahoooooooooo!"
Mitsoumi screaming as he came within ear shot landing so hard outside that it shook the solid stone building they were in before the door swing open.
"I'm back!"
On his back would be a baby wearing aviator goggles and giggling.

She got low and ducked,startled by the noise and the rumble she was in a crouching position about ready to take off and leave some somewhere to safety.hSeeing the man that was before her and carrying the giggling baby. She wasn't really sure there was actually that much to be worried about. I mean anybody holding a laughing child can't be all that bad no doubt. Look at those adorable goggles! She rose to an upright stance sheepishly smiling all the while folding her arms over her chest looking to be polite.

He halts immediately seeing Oni.
"Oh... My... God!"
He runs over coming to her side.
"It's my Tiefling character brought to life! Merekis the Infernal Lord. How's your dark vision? Any fire resistance?! Can YOU CAST HELLFIRE SPELLS?"

She stepped back a couple of paces. "I-do-sah..." she couldn't find words to deny what his claims might be currently.
But she actually remembered what Barker said not moments before. Her voice was quite high pitched trying to force words out.
"Y-yes and yes... Kind of." she nervously smiled.

Mitsoumi hugs Barker and Barker looks defeated as he awkwardly Pat's Mitsoumi on the back.
"Sure. Anyways. We have work to do, drop off the samples and get ready to go somewhere dangerous."
Mitsoumi perks up even more standing super straight.
"PLAY?!"
"Uh... Yeah some I suppose."
"BEST. DAY. EVER."

She couldn't help but smile but no doubt it was quite the awkward smile. Her shoulders were close together, elbows tight against her sides, and hands to her lips. Eyes wide she watched Mitsoumi and Barker make their exchange with fear and slight amusement.
He actually thought she was his character. He plays D&D, a woman Tiefling, and it sounded like it had a seasoned back story! She wondered just who Merekis would be.
"I fear I might be missing some pieces, as if it didn't all transfer... If you want while we are on this new adventure you can show me who I am and the adventures we've had?" she would ask tail flicking stiffly behind her.

Mitsoumi would salute with a serious face.
"Of course!"
Barker would put his face into his palm as hard as he could.
"Let's, uh. Get this going..."
Barker would head outside and Mitsoumi would lug out two huge duffle bags. The size of a car.
"I got the traveling stuff!"
The baby is riding the duffle bags laughing.
