Mental Information

Personality: Up until she was taken to Cabal, Marin had become close to mute due to her circumstances. She knows how to speak well enough, but will often mispronounce words and names due to her lack of 'practice'. Unfortunately speaking her mind is a work in progress, and that means sometimes her feelings are demonstrated...heatedly.

Despite all this she's a mostly regular child. With fire powers.

Mentality: Despite the slavery and being somewhat mute, Marin is developing well for a child their age. She seems to have blocked memories of her past.

Ideal: Being surrounded by plushies.

History Information

History:

At a young age, Marin was somehow stolen from her mother and sold into slavery in the cold-cold land of 156. As a pyro, she fetched a hefty price and was sold to a wealthy trader. She was not the first young slave the man had bought, and as such she was affectionately referred to as No. 3. She probably would have forgotten her own name if not for a wooden bracelet on her wrist.

Her life wasn't terrible. Her master treated her well so long as she did her job as human heater. At first it seems like a waste to pay so much for someone who just keeps your home warm, but when the winters were especially harsh, her master could charge travellors and poorer villagers to find lodging in his home. It was that or freeze to death, so her master had a pretty good thing going.

Marin was never to talk unless spoken to, and even then it wasn't usually something that didn't require but a nod or a point for an answer. So due to this, Marin became near-mute, almost forgetting how to speak. Fortunately, during some free time she and the other slaves would play together, and they would be able to speak to each other a little bit.

This was her life for at least 5 years before a mysterious person would show up. Marin couldn't remember anyone from her past, so she had no idea who they were. They however seemed to know who she was and steal her away one night. They promised they would take her somewhere safe, but that she unfortunately wouldn't be going back to her true home.

And so that's how Marin came to Cabal. She didn't quite understand anything that happened...but it seemed she had a chance at freedom here.

Power

Qi Name: Fire Starter

Strengths:
Marin's abilities all center around fire. As such, she's strong against anything flamable, anything sensitive to heat and anything that dislikes bright lights. Since most of her control over fire is heat-based, Marin can effectively set part of her enemies on fire, or even set HERSELF on fire to either throw fireballs or just shield herself somewhat from physical attacks.

Weaknesses:
Water is a big one. Not something she can't beat with enough experience, but definitely at a disadvantage in almost all cases. For example if she's underwater she's very unlikely to be able to set herself on fire. Or anything on fire. Things that can withstand intense heat are also a bit problematic, which is when Marin hopes it's just a shell she can chip at until burning the soft center.

Zero Ability:

Heat up! - Marin manipulates heat, able to either intensify fire or create it by raising heat levels on something (must be something that creates heat).

+ Intensify: Adds 1/2 of Marin's energy to fires or explosions in extra damage.

+ Combust: Marin raises heat levels on something to cause her energy in fire damage.

Inner Self: Can now, once a thread, Shift into their inner selves. This inner self has +10 in all stats for 4 posts (The inner self has the same personality it had when your character met them and must be played as such! For characters that died your inner self now has the lost trait that your character used to have!)

Force Sensitivity (UN-EVOLVED MUTATION): Your character is now sensitive to the flow of energy that makes up the universe. It can act as a danger sense, empathy check, or a guiding hand. The character must focus on the energy flow to gain any effects and the ability uses and gains UP normally.

Mitsoumi can troll enemies by getting Marin out of an impossible situation once per thread

Mitsoumi can make Marin stronger adding +15 to any stat she chooses up to four times on a single stat. However every time she does she loses more of her mental capacity for the thread.

Mitsoumi can cover Marin in his Leather Armor making any damage she were to take from Qi attacks by 25% and increasing the output of her Qi attacks by 50% for four posts, once per thread.
