He'd look at Spike in the eyes and lean close to try and get a read on his dead eye and see if he could still sense the energy inside of it.

Mathew would be able to feel some energy behind the dead eye, though Mathew was making Spike kind of uncomfortable. Though at this point he didn't think Mathew would do something strange like that for no reason.

Spike would slowly nod thinking about it. He knew why they put that eye in his head and the combination of the Blaze eye and Seikatsugan was an asset... It was just extremely foreign and difficult to use. Seems like chosing his own path he would have to make this power his own as well.
