[Novocaine]

Sometime before their first mission, Nova and Daniel had finally arrived at Cabal, a place they were told they could learn a lot from.

Nova...wasn't sure what to think of the place.

"Talk about roughing it." She'd blink, glancing over at her fiance with a hand on her hip.

"This place looks a bit...what's the word I'm looking for?" she'd tap her foot, trying to think of something...less disrespectful than her initial word.

"Primitive? I hear that builds character, though."

It was kinda cute, she supposed.

[Detritus]

Detritus would be Marching by minding his own business.

[Cara Dunn]

Cara had gotten used to people walking by at this point, engrossed in her work at one of hte picnic tables. She adjusted the fletching on the harrow in hand, examining the creation once more before setting it to the side with teh others she'd made, humming all the while.

[Gunslinger]

"Does it?"

Daniel points at the masked man walking by.

"What character is that building? How to dress for Prota-ween?"

I don't know if they have names for holidays in Prota. Other than Prota-day, of course.

He points at the girl sitting at the table.

"Or how to use a BOW AND ARROWS?"

He's offended at her using such primitive ranged weaponry.

[Novocaine]

"Like I said, roughing it." she'd shrug.

"Hey, shoot the ground in front of both of them, let's see how good the training here is."

Not trying to start a fight, just checking the reflexes.

Which might just end up causing a fight anyway but that wasn't the intent.

[Gunslinger]

Daniel draws both Terrence and Phillip, firing a shot in front of both!

[Detritus]

Detritus stops. Looks at the hole in the ground in front of him and turns to see the reason for the disturbance.

"Your skills are lacking. You aim is poor. I should expect nothing less from a second rate citizen."

He keeps walking.

[Cara Dunn]

"The hell?" Cara stops what she's doing, drawing her feet back on instinct as someone shot the ground in front of her with some sort of..metal thing? It looked like a slug or other form of bug. She frowned at looked up, finding a dark-haired man with strange metal cylinders in hand, including one that was aimed at her.

"Rude. Careful you don't hurt someone with that, hot stuff." her hand remained on a newly crafted arrow, but she didn't draw her bow, studying the two instead. Bored, or here to cause trouble?

[Novocaine]

"Well, the Bird's hallucinating."

Nova assumes he's talking to an imaginary person because that comment couldn't be aimed at them. Nothing second rate here.

"The girl over there seems to have good instincts despite the weapon choice."

Nova would smile at her and give a casual wave.

"Sorry, we were just trying to get a read on this place. Never know what to expect from lesser humans."

She doesn't sound like she means that in an insulting way.

[Gunslinger]

"He thought... I was aiming.... FOR him..."

Daniel hunches over laughing.

That's all he can handle. He can't even talk to Cara yet, he's still laughing.

[Detritus]

The laughing caught Detritus off guard he would tilt his head in confusion.

"You're amusement doesn't make sense. Explain yourself slave."

[Cara Dunn]

"I see." Another pair that though of themselves as better, presumably over qi. Cara inhaled and slowly let the breath out, removing her hand to dust her lap free of debris instead. and addressing the woman who seemed to be holding herself together better than her companion. But was he a slave? She looked from one to the other and decided to let it play out as it would.

"Well hopefully the lesser beings aren't too disappointing." Is there sarcasm in teh tone? You bet. She wasn't sure if the other woman was just ignorant or entitled, but she didn't seem the type to pick a fight. It was a bunch of weird mixed signals.

[Novocaine]

Nova noted the sarcasm but chose to completely ignore it.

"Well, you weren't."

She at least had her wits about her, and the reaction was appropriate. She couldn't fault that.

"We've come here to learn, though. If you're not too upset, could I pick your brain a bit?"

[Gunslinger]

Daniel tries very hard to stop laughing.

"I think... I think he might be dumb. Like, real dumb."

To the point he feels bad. Almost.

"I'm not a slave, birdo. Even you should be able to tell that."

Before he glances at Cara.

"First question being, why are you using a bow like some kind of savage?"

[Rhona Hall]

Walking by heading to a training ground she would hear much language and offences.

"Everything alright over here?" She would worry about the situation getting out of hand but not too worried. Honestly she was mostly curious, she didn't recognize some of these faces.
