[Triton Augustus]

At the tall man's words on the Elvin's energy, Triton nodded in concurrence. "Energy fills him indeed." Both his words and eyes went to whom he spoke. 

The woman requested agreement, and he was quite willing to surrender it. "Yes we shall, m'lady! Show us our path!" he spoke, allowing his hand to veer with haste into the air, outward and onward, its direction being without purpose.

Link would thrust a fist up in the air as he jumped in excitement!

"Whoo! Lets go!!!"

He was eager to see everything this place had to offer!

"Onwards and upwards."

Valerian puts his hands into his pockets, smiling broadly.

He could get used to this.

[Bailey Oleander]

And thus Bailey got to take point in this....train...ride...tour. She could remember skittering about when she first came here, nearly tripping over someone who would turn out to be an Elder Dragon. It seemed like so long ago now. Her smile warmed at the thought.

"Alright then, this way." She nodded and woudl lead the boys around the campus, pointing out main buildings and their important points - classes, the cafeteria, another set of dorms. Given teh enthusiasm over all, she was also expecting questions. Like the gate that had been rebuilt, part of it a newer and brighter material than teh rest. The qi scars outside and inside.

Valerian gave voice, speaking of going onward, which indeed was where they must go, yet he also spoke of going upward. "Upward?" the query slipped from his lips.

Whilst the party moved forward, his curiosity begged to be quenched. "Little lady, why do we travel upward? And, too, how so? I see nowhere to take us in such a fashion. What destination lies above the plain we upon walk?"

Link would be wide eyed, taking in the sights, "Oooohing" here and "Awwwing" there. He indeed would ask plenty of questions.

"Wow! Was there a serious battle held here? That gate looks newer and there's all kinds of damage here and there! Was that do to students not being able to control their powers, or was it a fight? Or was it something else entirely? How did y'all deal with it? Do think something like that will happen again? Were you here when it happened?! WHAT WAS IT LIKE?!"

"Upwards, like... you know... onwards and upwards... it's a saying..."

So weird.

Valerian has no questions, he's content to let Link ask them all. And I mean ALL the questions.

[Bailey Oleander]

So many questions. Bailey was tired just listening to them al, overwhelmed by the fact that Link didn't even seem to pause to catch a breath. They just kept coming. She cleared her throat, focusing on his questions as Valerian and Triton seemed to be trying to work out the miscommunication, nodidng in agreement with the brief explanation the redhead gave.

"There have been a few battles here, yes. Some outside the gates, and once they tried to break the gates down." She had come back from a mission - and breaking rank - when it happened and had woken up when it was over, but they didn't need to know that. She'd been there for others. "Dealing with it depends ont eh person and the power.

"I imagine there will be others who want to test the defenses here or push their might. We've been able to come out on top so far."

"They do what they can to keep everyone here safe, including the security system they have here. It prevents fatality as much as possible, but there have been those who have disrupted it. It's as much there for students who train or fight as those whose powers are out of control."  She debased answering his question, having never really beyond fond of battle in the first place. "It's...overwhelming at first. Chaos. But there are good people and good leaders here with experience and knowledge. It's good to know when you have someone watching your back when everything is happening at once.

"That's one fo the things about squads, when you get assigned to one.  It's a smaller group of people to know and know how you work with them.  You may be friends, you may be enemies, but when all is said and done, you're partners.  Anyone can think of how your abilities can help in a fight.  They're the ones that know how you can and how you work, alone and together."

"Red haired man, I know well that it is indeed a saying. If it was not a saying, I would not have heard it for you would not have spoke it. I mean to say that I understand not why you say to go upwards. Is it some sort of jest?"

Triton allowed the Elvin and lady to speak whilst he communed with Valerian, seeking to find sense within him.

Links eyes would be full of awe as Bailey answered his questions, so much knowledge to be learned. This place was AMAZING! Wait... what was that about-

"Wait! Squads? You mean I'll be assigned a squad and be able to make even more friends?! Awesome! Do you think I'll be able to be in your squad?!"

Link asked Bailey eyes wide and bright with hope! Link was super hopeful that she would say it was possible, she was really nice and he wanted to be on the same team as his first friend!

Valerian looks around for this 'red-haired man'.

Then looks back at Triton.

"Oh! Me. Uh...it's figurative. Like saying that as long as you keep going forwards in life, you'll be getting higher and better off for it."

Or something.

He's absolutely making it up.

[Bailey Oleander]

"Once you've had a chance to settle in, they usually assign people to squads. It's easier to handle missions that come up with them." Bailey trailed off for a moment, just floored that this boy kept spouting off so much energy. She looked from Link to Triton and Valerion as if for help, glad at least their conversation seemed to be making progress.

"Well, not mine I'm afraid. I retired from the field." She waved a hand with a smile to lessen what she expected was going to be dismay. "But what about you two. Triton? Valerion? Do either of you have squads assigned yet?"

The blue islander was most perplexed. The man had no sense to be found. Nor was there sense to be found in pursuing understanding.

The woman requested his heed and he indeed was quite surrendering of it. The gaze of his eyes, as crimson as the blood that coursed through his veins, shifted to the precious emeralds that she herself held.

"Word was delivered to me that I am to unite with comrades, indeed. However, grant me pardon, for the identity of my comrades has remained distant from mine ears," returned he.

Link's happy demeanor did in fact fall when she mentioned she was retired. Saddening, but she smiled at him not the less and he couldn't stay upset for long. Hearing her question for the other two Link turned to hear Triton's answer then he turned to look at Valerian.

"What about you Val? Have you been assigned a squad yet?"

Oh thank God he decided to drop it. Valerian had no idea how he was going to explain it further.

"Nope."

He says happily, shrugging.

"I'm all alone... there's no one beside me..."

He wipes a fake tear away. It was a semi-good thing he didn't have a squad, that meant he didn't have to do any work.
