As the chains caused the experiment to pause, he would look over in time to see the bolt coming. Gritting his teeth he'd cover his head in a skeletal helmet as the blast hit he would skid back and rip the chains from his arms. He'd point at Avalon as a portal opened next to him.
"Next time, girl!"
And the portal would move over him as he vanished into it.
As Leif grabbed Yanmei, Yanmei would feel her connection to Katsu return, but she could also somehow use Leif's Qi?
(Yanmei has discovered one of her Qi Sprite abilities. She can form connections with any Qi user and gain access to their abilities for the thread!)
((That should be the end of GM involvement, continue with what you need to, but conflict has ended. Rewards to follow this weekend.))

That was foreboding, to say the least. Avalon's lips pressed into a thin line, but she didn't call out to the experiment that ducked through the portal. She would need to be prepared for next time...
Until then, there was the problem of the swordsman who was reacting with a raging energy. She kept her gaze away from his face, shaking her head as she took another step away from cover, not wanting to shout at the others from this distance and turn his attention towards her.
"Do not engage him."

Yanmei just shoves her hand in Leif's face to push herself out of her grip.
"Let go of me! Stop attacking him, something's wrong!"
She'd pause a moment when she felt the connection return, and also when she felt she could access a power that wasn't her own. One that felt a lot like Leif's. As much as she wanted to focus on it, she was far more worried about Katsu.

!BeastKatsu brandishes his claws, eyes whipping between those around him.
So far, it seemed like he'd successfully taken out any hostilities, but the moment he sees any sort of ill-intent... hoo boy. Someone's getting slapped.

Everyone gets +5 exp and if not already have unlocked Qi within themselves!
Katsu Receives!:
Beast Gloves +5 Atk
These gloves have sharpened finger points for close range slashing and gripping. For 1 post when Katsu transforms his arms into his Monster Form these nails add +26 to his Attack Stat
Yanmei Receives!:
Pixie Belt +5 Eng
This belt seems to have an odd luminescence. Once per thread she can shrink down to about 2 inches tall avoiding all projectile attacks and adding +26 to her Speed stat.
Avalon Receives!:
Black Cat Boots +5 Spd
These boots were once warn by a pirate who wore gloves with blades on the fingers, before he died in a fight with a man only known as 'Kevin' who had enhanced and sharpened nails. The primary thing they both shared was their ability to move incredibly fast and very quiet. Once per thread Avalon can step on her tip toes and practically vanish from view teleporting from one spot to another in a direct line that isn't obstructed. This teleport can even trick sensory Qi abilities.
Adelaide Receives!:
'Censured' Shirt +5 Atk
This shirt has a censured pixilation of words on it depicting obvious profanity. Once per thread Adelaide can scream an expletive which will automatically be bleeped out as if being censured. The beep will explode in a sound wave from her mouth doing her energy in Damage +16.
Lucky Receives!:
Pulsing Crystal: This Material when used to make an item can create a sentient item.
Leif Receives!:
Charred Bone: This Material when used to make an item can create an a power that is constantly on fire.
Carson Receives!:
Rebar: This Material when used to make an item can create an unbreakable item with a boost to Attack.
Atlas Receives!:
Amorphous Metal: This material when used to make an item can create an item that transforms into two or more things.
Julius Receives!:
Dark Matter: This Material when used to make an item can create an item that can rip through space and time.
