Under Your Bed (Event)

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

The wind blew open one of her doors and she practically crawled to investigate it by lying flat with her head out the door and seeing a creature crawl out from a hole her face grew even more pale and she bolted up to slam her door shut and lock it tight. She looked around to think about what she was going to do next.

Her first thought was grabbing a tire iron and going out the garage door to make a run for it. When she got out she was certain to see more but she was just going to run and pray none would follow until she saw a familiar face.

[Avalon Salabim]

Avalon reached out a hand to keep her hair out of her face, trying to focus on the strange lights. It was too out in the open to be someone practicing qi, and quickly growing. The creatures that crawled out of them weren't exactly inspiring to one's confidence.

"My, what big mouths you have," she murmured, standing still. She held off on attacking right away, watching them carefully to see what would draw them as they sniffed the air.

[Atlas]

Atlas watched as the beasts slowly crawled out of the portal across his room. Was this a nightmare? The door was right behind him, he could leave now. Yet, he was somehow frozen.

His mind said run, everything in him said run, but something, something said fight. It felt as if it was another part of his mind, or maybe his entire body itself. He couldn't tell what to choose.

The beasts crawled closer, their entire body growling it seemed. It was obvious what he had to do. He had to ŕ̶̢̛̛̛̛͖͉̞̩͖͚̟̣̺̲͙̈͒̉̍̀̇͆̏̾̽̀̉͛́̋̔̐̓̒̆͐̈̽̈̾̄͆͌̏̉̾̒̓͛̓̃̒͒̕̕͘̚͝͝͝͝ͅu̸̢̡̱̝̠̮̯͕̲̮͉͚͔̻̼͙͌͘n̷̼̬̂̔̐̏̈́̋̀̇̄͒̿̉̊̄̊̈͋̽͛̑̃̌̓̾͊́̔̃̿͘͘͘͠͠͠͝͝   FIGHT. 


Immediately springing to action, Atlas's eyes became filled with determination. His skin hardened and he slammed both fists clasped together down on the nearest snout he could reach.

[Julius Kane]

Julius turned around from the car he was working on, only to catch sight of a glowing portal before him with its swirling colors of green, black, and purple. Could this be dark magic?

Then he watched as creatures crawled out of it, growling from mouths lacing their body. The sight of him made his heart skip a beat, but he stayed vigilant and steadfast nonetheless. He reached over and grabbed the biggest wrench he could find and readied himself.

Definitely dark magic.

[Zack Asiv]

Lightning Cracked somewhere and the sniffing animals all snapped their attentions immediately to it, in it's specific direction. All began running at a dead sprint, over, under, and even through obstacles towards Leif Adamson.

Qi Yanmei could sense an abundance of Qi from the creatures, similar to Qi Beasts from her homeland, but somehow different like the Qi didn't belong to them.

Carson Addler would find a few metal pipes laying near some construction work being done to repair the area like rebar.

Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan would be able to close and lock the door, but she would feel the crystals in her arm move violently for the few moments she was next to the door way causing pain.

Atlas would intercept a creature with a double ax handle smash to the snout which cause its head to bounce off the ground as it crashed from it's attempt to follow the pack to the source of whatever it smelled. It would get up quickly thrashing and opening many gnashing mouths to growl in harmony as a primary mouth opened almost the entire length of the creature to snarl.

(If you weren't mentioned you were widely ignored by the creatures or nothing happened of note.)

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would see a large group of the beast run off in a random direction. What the he- Then she would notice they were heading for Leif!

"LEIF LOOK OUT!"

Adelaide would say as she charged after the hounds her bat in hand! If she got close enough she would start swinging to try and take out as many as she could as she made her way to Leif!

[Leif Adamson]

Leif lowered herself down slightly, staring at the beasts as they ran towards her. Well. If you're going to go out, best to go out in a blaze of glory. She gripped her Jian and began to try to pick off the creatures, one by one.

She swung the blade for kill shots as often as she could, aiming for what she assumed to be their neck, hoping to sever their heads from their bodies. She was mostly hoping that the length of the blade would keep any from getting to her.

[Katsu]

Katsu doesn't like that whatsoever.

He sprints forward, aiming to cut one of the beasts' head clean off as it runs by!

[Avalon Salabim]

They didn't seem to notice her, but that was fine in Avalon's eyes. She gave a quiet, thoughtful hum, taking a moment to use her spectacles to look at the portals and the creatures that came through them, looking for any indication if they broke through on their own or if something else was tied to them on the other side. She'd also look into the dimension if it's one she can see in!

Tensing at the shout, she knew the name, but didn't recognize the voice. It would be best to move quickly.

Peering Lens (+14 PER, +8 ENG): The Peering lens is capable of seeing connections. Who is using abilities on who like buff's or debuff's. Avalon can then hijack these connections to gain the benefits herself or end them on others up to four times a thread. Avalon can also move connections between two targets. These connections appear like lines of color and Avalon can understand everything about the connections. Once per thread these lenses can also peer through the veil into any other dimension she is aware of.

[Qi Yanmei]

"Ohh, she's in trouble." Yanmei would say, flying after Katsu and throwing an orb at one of the dogs.

"Katsu, they're full of Qi but it's like they ate it, maybe? It's not really their Qi!" she says this loudly enough for others to hear as well, whether or not it helps.

[Carson Addler]

In Carsons experience, rebar made for a perfect improvised club. Twirling the length of reinforced steel in his hand, the boy prepared to defend himself.....

Only to watch bemused as the Monster dogs picked up a scent and began to run off.

"HEY! GET THE FUCK BACK HERE YOU GODDAMN MUTTS!"
Not liking to be ignored, Carson grit his teeth and ran off after them, steel rod in hand. Using his Parkour skills to weave and thread around and through obsticals, the young boy pushed himself hard to keep the Mutant dogs in sight.

Carson would also keep an eye out for an opportunity to force the dogs to halt.

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

Lucy clutched the ache in her arms they were reacting to the Qi suddenly erupting around her and she knew they were always starved. It sprung fear in her chest further and she went through the opposite side of her shop and bolted out of the garage door.

[Julius Kane]

Julius would watch the beasts run off, curious as to where they were going, but more curious as to where they came from.

Upon cautiously stepping up to the portal, Julius stuck half of the long wrench into it, and pulled it back out, curious to see the results.

[Atlas]

The ṫ̷̙̺͝a̶̢͉̽̎r̶̼̎̄g̵̻̋e̷̱̊̚t̶̹̗̔ creature was not taken out; it was clear more effort was needed.

Atlas, in one fluid spinning movement, pulled a knife out from the knife block sitting on the kitchen counter and turned around to stab it down through the head of the beast!

[Zack Asiv]

Adelaide, reaches Leif Adamson, as Leif cuts many of the hounds down slicing heads clean from bodies. Bodies falling to the ground shaking a bit before they stop moving. Flesh melting slightly and drying up immediately. Adelaide slamming her bat into more of them as they are pushed back from the impacts into a bit of a daze.

Katsu expertly cleaves a head from the dogs body, as it falls shaking and drying out like the others. Though Katsu is still being ignored.

Suddenly a large pack halts as a new smell has caught their attention... Qi Yanmei, would find herself being charged by 15 of the large creatures barking noises coming from multiple mouths as they drool and gnash at the air.

Carson Addler doesn't seem to be able to notice a place to stop them or head them off, but his skills in parkour allow him to keep up easily, even gain some ground on the charging group he is after.

Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan makes a run for it out the back, however once a certain distance away the crystals in her arm seemed to hit the end of their leash as they would suddenly stop her arm, yanking her down like a dog running to the end of it's rope. It would likely hurt quite a bit, but the bigger issue would likely bee they were visibly bigger now.

Atlas plan was flawless as they grabbed the knife and went to stab the creature in the head they would find instead they aimed a bit poorly as there was a mouth there, teeth clamping down on the knife before it broke, the head of the creature would thrash harshly slamming Atlus and throwing him away from it. (29 dmg). However he would notice the creature chew the knife blade before it's skin turned to a shiny silver metal and it's paws grew knife like metal nails as it's own nails were pushed out of its paws to be left on the ground with a few drops of blood.

Julius Kane would find there was an odd black flame on the end of his wrench, but it didn't seem to effect the wrench.

Avalon Salabim would see the lines connecting all the dogs meant they were being controlled or summoned by something through the portal. Due to her studies in Ayatlan she knew this dimension to be The Dark World. Peering through the portal she could see a land fully decomposed, air so thick creatures either flew or swam through the air. Black chains were attached to every structure and everything was drained of life, however there was a single figure standing on the other side of an array of portals holding their hands out as the connection lines went to their hands. This figure was responsible, but the Darkness of the Dark World had corrupted her vision of it, making it difficult to make out the figure.
